November 2017 Mosquito Byte Please note - The November 2 MVFA board meeting will be held at Frank's Diner, 9100 Rock Creek Road at 7:00 PM.
Effective 3/1/2017, the MVFA Board Agenda will be posted for viewing prior to the meeting each month at the Fire Station. The Board meeting is held each month on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm. Any changes to the schedule will be noted on the www.goMVFA.org website and/or in the Mosquito Byte newsletter.

MVFA will again host a "Trunk ‘R Treat" at the Finnon Lake campground on Sunday, October 29th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. To volunteer to be a “Trunker,” call Eileen Guell at 642-3588 or Elisabeth Bingham at 306-2350. This event will be followed by a campfire and weenie roast for all "Trunkers" and volunteers. We call it "Weenies & Wine.” Trunkers will start setting up their vehicles at 6:00 p.m. We hope you'll join in the fun with decorating your vehicle and we have prizes!! The 1st place winner will receive $100 Gift Certificate to Placerville Hardware - also Fabulous prizes for 2nd and 3rd place vehicles :-) Posted by Karen R at 7:56 PM

CAFE UPDATE: Please join me in welcoming the Ethridges back to the Finnon cafe! Frank's Diner hopes to open on Nov. 1 with the 1st of many weekly family nights. The plan is to start with offering lunches Wed through Fri and breakfast and lunch on the weekends (closed Mon and Tue), then add more meals, take-out dinners, take-and-bake pizzas, some grocery necessaries, produced-on-the-hill items for sale, catering, etc., etc.! While we know they're very pleased to have been chosen... hose who have experienced Frank's culinary skills and the family's community spirit know we're all winners in this!! Yay!
