HONORS PROGRAM GRADUATION DINNER CELEBRATES 160 STUDENT GRADS On May 21, 2010 the Honors Program celebrated the accomplishments of our students who completed the Honors Program and were transferring on to four year universities. Approximately 180 attended the dinner celebration in the patio area of the Building 26 quad. Students were joined by family members and our special guests: Trustees Dr. Manuel Baca, Dr. David Hall, and Student trustee Xavier Padilla, Mt. SAC President Dr. John Nixon, Vice President of Instruction Dr. Virginia Burley, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences Dr. Stephen Runnebohm, and Professors Michelle GrimesHillman, Dr. Linda Rillorta, Dr. Samuel Wolde-Yohannes, Dr. Charles McGruder, Carol Impara, and Liesel Reinhart. All participants enjoyed a fabulous dinner served by PTK members Steven Almaraz, Lisa Bastio, Brenda Diaz, Diana Higuera, and Traci Kenmuir. SAC family who supports the Honors Program and its students—by exhibiting some or all of these characteristics:  Having an open door policy for students and/ or staff  Attendance at and/or support of honors events  Public and/or private support of honors education  Excellence in the classroom  Identification and encouragement of potential honors program students Dr. Hall has been a strong advocate for honors education and a strong supporter of student success and we thank him for his contributions to our program.
