MTETA ATA at MTSU Ben Barrett… last Wednesday --- LRC … room 101 … displays … 5 different displays.. Uses the 5 displays as breakouts… Vendor partners were not always seeing everyone This setup allowed everyone got to see vendors. Attendees got to hear and see everyone of the vendors Breakout session … too many sessions … had 5 Rutherford County moved to another room. Lunch… cafeteria got to choose. 84 attendees Registered: 125 …. had some no shows. Expenses $5,354.44 total MTSU $1340.89 … some signs, all food Signs. $310.50 Supplies $129 (est) Giveaways $3600 (est)… thanks to presenters, MTSU, door prizes. Survey data: 28 responses …

positive except distraction of breakout sessions… Pleased with vendors, etc. Refinements: 4 blocks – 5 sessions Possibly add more sessions (verses rotating to 5) Use Room 201 and Lab (upstairs) Vendor sessions 15 min Campfire sessions Move vendor hall closer to Room 101 Use rooms at College of Ed for breakouts Meet together for first part Break out… other building Lunch Come back to LRC for vendors session Do a round of door prizes to bring back in Next year…. March 7 and 8, 2017 (Wednesday is the day of the event) •

Unsure of state contract … Bidders of Internet… AT&T / ENA ..  At&T did not bid on consortium  RFP … was clear on consortium  At&T was disallowed  45 agreements in as of today.  Wayne Crouch… time … no protest was filed by any vendor.  All 5 vendors received the entire contract  1 vendor asked for clarification of scores. not AT&T..

April 8 Need to meet offsite… possibly 20 for Coffee County: South Need to meet offsite… Metro Nashville… North group (Tom Bayersdorfer will check for location)

State Mini Bids (via Director’s Update) Clarification should have been released yesterday –  Category 2 services ???  Date was pushed to later this week  Website has been started  Mini-bids assumed will be much easier that RFP process Support for this process will include (by March 15) a mini-bid procurement guide for districts and vendors a mini-bid worksheet/template by category process verification and audit information general E-rate logistics information for the remainder of the E-rate season 

ETETA … sending approx.. 6 people to ISTE … via … drawing Motion: Ben Barrett… draw for two names to be drawn at April meeting from the Voting members to attend ISTE in Denver. Expenses will be paid up to $2500 that will include: Registration, Airfare, hotel and expenses. o Motion includes booking three rooms .. now for the conference… o $2500 cap total… MTETA .. will book o Motion by Ben Barrett Second: Randy Damewood o Motion was amended by Ben Barrett to draw one from this month’s attendees and two from the month of April. o APPROVED

Joan … membership is up from previous years 327 members . voting 120 vendor – corporate members listserve info sent by Joan – on webpage … membership East will have a bus going to SI … leaving SI on Friday morning Middle is welcome to ride.. $50 per person … meet along I40… contact Joan if interested.

West will have 5K on Tuesday. 7:30 a.m. Golf at 8:30 --scheduled so that you could attend both. Same type of schedule as in the past for SI TETC questions… SAVE THE DATE… December 7 – 9 Embassy Suites, Murfreesboro 3 keynotes….
