The National Center for Charitable Statistics (NCCS) is in the process of designing a new open data platform which will provide a community for nonprofit practitioners, researchers, and policy-makers to download, create, explore, and share data themselves. While this process is underway, please use the following links for NCCS resources and information:
The NCCS Data Archive The NCCS Data Archive is our first step in making NCCS data more accessible and open. The NCCS Data Archive contains all the IRS Business Master Files, NCCS Core Files, Digitized Data Files, and IRS Statistics of Income Division Exempt Organizations Sample Files previously accessed through registration on http://nccsweb.urban.org. The NCCS Data Archive also contains the new NCCS 2014 and 2015 Core files, and will be the primary source for updated NCCS data going forward. Go to The NCCS Data Archive The files hosted on the NCCS Data Archive are presented free of charge as a service to the research community, and accessible without registration. All files are presented in CSV file format for easy download and access.
The Urban Institute’s Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy For all current NCCS publications, as well as other briefs and reports. Go to the Urban Institute’s Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy .

Other Information We strongly recommend users refer to the NCCS Data Archive for current NCCS data. The nccsweb.urban.org website is no longer being updated. We have moved a selection of the features previously hosted on nccsweb.urban.org to an interim site, but these tools are not being updated with the new data found on the NCCS Data Archive. Therefore, we are not offering new registrations or providing technical support for the tools at the following interim link. To view the available tools, click here . Note that these may be disabled at any time, without notice. For an overview, Learn About NCCS Data and Tools .
