PENGENALAN Penulisan makalah jurnal berindeks menjadi tanggungjawab ahli akademik atau sarjana ilmu dalam pemajuan dan pengembangan dapatan ilmu baharu kontemporari. Makalah jurnal yang dihasilkan khususnya dalam jurnal berindeks turut menjadi ikon keilmuan dan kesarjanan para ahli akademik. Di samping itu, penghasilan makalah jurnal berindeks telah menjadi salah satu kewajiban ahli akademik sekarang sebagai langkah untuk meningkatkan KPI individu dan menjadi pemangkin kerjaya akademik sekali gus memantapkan reputasi institusi yang diwakili. Selain ilmu bidang, penulisan makalah jurnal berindeks memerlukan kemahiran dan kecekapan. Kemahiran dan kecekapan ini perlu diasah dan dibimbing. Sehubungan dengan itu, bengkel ini boleh menjadi platform bagi menimba pengetahuan penulisan yang merangkumi pembinaan tajuk, abstrak, sorotan kepustakaan, kerangka teori, metodologi, penghujahan, analisis, bibliografi dan rangka penulisan yang lain. Di samping itu, sesi ulasan oleh panel terhadap makalah jurnal yang dihantar turut diadakan agar peserta mendapat maklum balas tentang penambahbaikan yang wajar. Dengan cara ini, diharapkan proses penerbitan makalah jurnal oleh peserta dalam jurnal berindeks akan berjalan dengan lancar. OBJEKTIF

Pengenalan / Introduction Unit Perniagaan Strategi (SBU) Pusat Pengajian Ilmu Kemanusiaan (PPIK) ialah unit yang membangunkan, mempromosikan dan memasarkan perkhidmatan, latihan dan perundingan yang dapat ditawarkan oleh pakar bidang dari PPIK. Secara tidak langsung, agenda pemindahan ilmu dalam kerangka untuk melestarikan hari esok diharapkan tercapai. Melalui Unit ini juga, jaringan antara pusat pengajian dengan komuniti akan terjalin sekali gus mewujudkan prasarana yang lebih kondusif bagi melahirkan modal insan yang lebih berkualiti dan menepati keperluan pasaran. The Strategic Business Unit (SBU) of the School of Humanities is a unit dedicated to developing, promoting and marketing the services, training and consultation that the experts at the School of Humanities can offer. The setup of this unit and its activities indirectly support the university's agenda of knowledge transfer within the framework of a sustainable future. The Unit is also a networking platform for the School of Humanities and the community, and as such, it is an infrastructure that supports the development of human capital as well as the current market need for expert services.

GEOINFORMATIC UNIT (/INDEX.PHP/DISCOVERUS/UNIT/GEOINFORMATIC-UNIT) INTRODUCTION The development of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in recent years has been able to provide an information system that can store, manage, manipulate, analyze and display spatially related data in an efficient and timely manner. GIS technology is now set to become the critical tool to resource analysis and policy formulation. It can provide a framework for integrating large amount of data from various sources and time periods useful for various applications such as EIA, land management, natural resources management, urban and regional planning, ecology and demography, trade and market analysis, transportation, forestry, agriculture, property tax, real estate management and social facilities planning and provision.
