It consists of product details, security system, status and exits. The administrator can enter the name and password and generate the report and can perform operations like add , search, delete the products in the database. The Online Shopping system enables vendors to set up online shops, customers to browse through the shops, and a system administrator to approve and reject requests for new shops and maintain lists of shop categories. Also on the agenda is designing an online shopping site to manage the items in the shop and also help customers purchase them online without having to visit the shop physically. My online shopping mall will use the internet as the sole method for selling goods to its consumers. Shopping will be highly personalized and the mall will provide lower prices than most competitors. Online Shopping VS. Traditional Shopping Differences -Cannot try or test product before purchase. -Minimum human interaction if any. -Cannot pay by cash(May Be). -Shop anytime online. Similarities -Advertisement. -Security. -Convenience. Slide -4Key Findings of Michael De Kare-Silver in e-shock: ? Already about 25-30% of consumers say they?d prefer to shop electronically rather than visiting the shops. ? It only takes a drop of about 25% in store traffic to make many stores unprofitable. ? This revolution will achieve critical mass as early as 2013. ? Manufactures can seize the opportunity to decide whether to establish their own direct consumer distribution and bypass existing retail chains. Slide -5Phase 1 Project Analysis and Planning 1.1. Study of the Problem The Current shopping System is critical to set up online shops, customers to browse through the shops, and a system administrator to approve and reject requests for new shops and maintain lists of shop categories. This is a small scale project for Online shopping System. The basic idea is that the candidates can buy product from anywhere during any time by using their card number and password provided to them. The database will maintain the product details information. Customer can view their product details using the card details. This Online shopping system involves with two types of users. ? CUSTOMER ? ADMINISTRATOR CUSTOMER ROLE: The customer?s can login/logout the System. He/She can view his/her product details and buy their product. The customer can just view the information whereas he/she could not make changes in the database. ADMINISTRATOR ROLE: The administrator plays a vital role in the Online shopping system. The administrator controls the entire database. The report of the product is generated by the administrator itself. The main role of the administrator is to safeguard the database and can add/delete the products from the database. 1.2. Project Scope The supplementary specification applies to online shopping system. This specification defines the nonfunctional requirement of the system such as: Functionality: Since it stand alone application, one or more user may use it at a time. Slide -61.3. Usability: HARDWARE DESCRIPTION The selection of hardware is very important in the existence and proper working of any software. When selecting hardware, the size and requirements are also important. Minimum Requirements: Processor : Pentium II class, 450MHz RAM : 128MB Hard Disk Drive : 3GB Video : 800X600, 256 colors CD-ROM : Required The proposed System is developed on: Processor : INTEL Pentium 4 RAM : 512MB Hard Disk Drive : 40GB Monitor : Display Panel (1024 X 764) SOFTWARE DESCRIPTION Operating System : Windows 7 Front- End : C#. NET with ASP. NET Back- End : VS2012 & MS SQL SERVER 2008 EXPRESS Slide -7Project will be done in ASP. NET with C# 4.5 as front end and SQL Server 2008 as back end. Microsoft .NET is software that connects information, people, systems and devices. It spans clients, servers and developer tools and consists of: The .NET Framework programming model that enables developers to build Web- based applications which expose their functionality programmatically over a network using standard protocols such as SOAP and HTTP. Developer tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, which provide a rapid application integrated development environment for programming with the .NET Framework. Client software such as Windows 7, Windows XP and Microsoft Office that helps developers deliver a deep and compelling user experience across a family of devices and existing products. The .NET Framework is the programming model of the .NET environment for building, deploying and running Web- based applications, smart client applications and XML Web services. It manages much of the plumbing, enabling developers to focus on writing the business logic code for their applications. The .NET Framework includes the common language runtime and class libraries. Slide -81.4. Objectives The purpose of this document is to define the requirements of Online shopping system. This supplementary specification lists the requirements that are not readily captured in the use case model. Supplementary specification and the use case model capture a complete set of requirement of the system. 1.5 Cost Estimation An estimate is a prediction based upon probabilistic assessment. It is the responsibility of the project manager to make accurate estimations of effort and cost. This is particularly true for projects subject to competitive bidding where a bid too high compared with competitors would result in loosing the contract or a bid too low could result in a loss to the organization. This does not mean that internal projects are unimportant. From a project leaders estimate the management often decide whether to proceed with the project. Industry has a need for accurate estimates of effort and size at a very early stage in a project. However, when software cost estimates are done early in the software development process the estimate can be based on wrong or incomplete requirements. A software cost estimate process is the set of techniques and procedures that organizations use to arrive at an estimate. An important aspect of software projects is to know the cost. The major contributing factor is effort. Why SCE is difficult and error prone ? ? Software cost estimation requires a significant amount of effort to perform it correctly. ? SCE is often done hurriedly, without an appreciation for the effort required. ? You need experience at developing estimates, especially for large projects. ? Human bias i.e. An Estimator is likely to consider how long a certain portion of the system would take, and then to merely extrapolate this estimate to the rest of the system, ignoring the non-linear aspects of software development. The causes of poor and inaccurate estimation ? New software projects are nearly always different form the last. ? Software practitioners don't collect enough information about past projects. ? Estimates are forced to match the resources available. Slide -9Cost and Pricing My project is of high range and is highly efficient which can satisfy the shopping calculation for almost all software companies. The chances of error occurrence is very limited and so my costs around Rs 200(app). ? Me and My one friend is required for completing the task. ? It takes a time span of 3 weeks to shape the project. ? There are no specific environmental constraints. Slide -10Phase 2 Modeling the Requirements 2.1. Module Description 2.1.1. Login It is the login session for the Administrator, customer and Exit. 2.1.2. Product Details It is used to view the product details from the database. 2.1.3. Add New Products It is used to add a product into the database and it includes searching a product details and removing a product from database. 2.2. UML Diagram Use case Diagram Use Case diagrams show the various activities the users can perform on the system. The System is something that performs a function. They model the dynamic aspects of the system. It provides a user?s perspective of the system. Actor: An actor is a user of the system playing a particular role. Use case: Use case is a particular activity a user can do on the system. Relationship: Relationships are simply illustrated with a line connecting actors to use cases. admin login customer add item items displayed purchase Slide -11Class Diagram A class diagram describes the types of objects in the system and the various kinds of static relationships that exist among them.i.e.,A graphical representation of a static view on declarative static elements. A class is the description of a set of objects having similar attributes, operations, relationships and behavior. adminis name : variant new age : variant city : variant new add items() custom name : variant new age : variant address : variant new city : variant new view() purchase item name : variant new itm no : variant quantity : variant cost per item : variant total cost : variant view() login user name : variant new password : variant new add items() items to display name : variant new itm no : variant manuf date : variant exp date : variant purchase() add item item name : variant new item no : variant quantity : variant view() Slide -12Phase 3 Configuration Management Configuration management is also used in software development, where it is called Unified Configuration Management (UCM). Using UCM, developers can keep track of the source code, documentation, problems, changes requested, and changes made. An advantage of a configuration management application is that the entire collection of systems can be reviewed to make sure any changes made to one system do not adversely affect any of the other systems Slide -133.1. Software Development 3.1.1. Project Details Register: Login: Slide -14Home: Account: Slide -15ViewCart: Contact Us: Slide -16Phase 4 Software Testing Software is completely assembled as a package interfacing errors have been uncovered and a final series of software test validation testing may begin. Validation successive when the customer is satisfied. Testing is a process to show the correctness of the program. Testing is needed to show completeness, it improve the quality of the software and to provide the maintenance aid. Some testing standards are therefore necessary reduce the testing costs and operation time. Testing software extends throughout the coding phase and it represents the ultimate review of configurations, design and coding. Based on the way the software reacts to these testing, we can decide whether the configuration that has been built is study or not. All components of an application are tested, as the failure to do so many results in a series of bugs after the software is put to use. Black box Testing Black box testing, also called behavioral testing, focuses on the functional requirements of software. This testing approach enables the software engineer to derive the input conditions that will fully exercise all requirements for a program. Black box testing attempts to find the errors like ? Incorrect or missing functions ? Interface errors ? Errors in data structures or external database access ? Behavior or performance errors ? Initialization and termination errors Slide -17In Black box testing software is exercised over a full range of inputs and outputs are observed for correctness. White box Testing White box testing is also called Glass box testing is a test case design control; structure of the procedural design to derive test cases using White box testing method, the software engineer can derive the test cases that guarantee that all independent paths within the module have been exercised at least once. Exercise all logic decisions on their true or false sides. Execute all loops at their boundaries and within their operational bounds. Exercise internal data structure to ensure their validity. Software Testing Strategies Testing involves ? Unit testing ? Integration testing ? Acceptance testing The first level of test is unit testing. The purpose of unit testing is to ensure that each program is fully tested. The second step is integration testing. In this individual program units or programs are integrated and tested as a complete system to ensure that the software requirements are met. Acceptance Testing involves planning and the execution of various types of tests in order to demonstrate that the implemented software system satisfies the requirements. Finally our project meets the requirements after going through all the levels of testing. Result: Based on the system requirements specification ONLINE SHOPPING CART has been designed and implemented. Slide -18CONCLUSION Now a day?s manual process for the citizens to buy online for their product such like mobile, laptop, car etc? has become a huge task. The main object of the website is to reduce the effort by the candidate and save his time and avoid high price to market. The main features of this site includes flexibility, reduce manual work in an efficient manner, a quick, convenient, reliable and effective way to apply for buy product their online shopping. The project could very well be enhanced further as per the requirements.
