Palestina Palestina (bahasa Arab: Filasīn , Falasīn , Filisīn ; bahasa Yunani: , Palaistinē; bahasa Latin: Palaestina; bahasa Ibrani: Palestina) adalah sebuah wilayah di Timur Tengah antara Laut Tengah dan Sungai Yordan. Nama "Palestina" digunakan oleh penulis-penulis Yunani Kuno, dan kemudian digunakan untuk provinsi Romawi Syria Palaestina, provinsi Romawi Timur Palaestina Prima dan provinsi Umayyah dan Abbasiyah Jund Filastin. Wilayah ini juga dikenal sebagai Tanah Israel (bahasa Ibrani: Eretz-Yisra'el), Tanah Suci, Levant Selatan , Cisjordan, dan secara historis dikenal dengan nama-nama lainnya seperti Kanaan, Suriah Selatan dan Kerajaan Yerusalem. Batas-batas dari wilayah ini selalu berubah sepanjang sejarah, dan terakhir kali ditetapkan pada zaman modern oleh Persetujuan batas Perancis-Britania (1920) dan Nota Transyordania (tanggal 16 September 1922), selama periode Mandat Palestina. Perbatasan Palestina dimulai dari Lebanon di Ras El-Nakoura di wilayah Laut Tengah (Laut Mediterania) dan dengan garis lurus mengarah ke timur sampai ke daerah di dekat kota kecil Lebanon yaitu kota Bent Jubayel, di mana garis pemisah antara kedua negara ini miring ke Utara dengan sudut yang hampir lurus. Pada titik ini, perbatasan berada mengitari mata air Sungai Yordan yang menjadi bagian dari Palestina dalam jalan kecil yang membatasinya dari wilayah Timur dengan wilayah Suriah dan danau Al Hola, Lout dan Tabariyya. Perbatasan dengan Yordania dimulai di wilayah selatan danau Tabariyya pada pembuangan sungai Al Yarmouk. Terus sepanjang Sungai Yordan. Dari mata air Sungai Yordan, perbatasan ini ke arah Selatan membelah pertengahan Laut Mati secara geometrikal dan lembah Araba, hingga sampai pada daerah Aqaba.

Perbatasan dengan Mesir dapat digambarkan dengan garis yang hampir membentuk garis lurus yang membelah antara daerah semi-pulau Seena dan padang pasir Al Naqab. Perbatasan ini dimulai di Rafah di Laut Tengah hingga sampai ke daerah Taba di Teluk Aqaba.
