The 2018 Penn State Homecoming Executive Committee is now complete, with 16 directors announced Tuesday, Dec. 5. Executive Director Ally Berdan selected the students following an interview and application process, according to a Homecoming press release. “The 2018 Executive Committee displays a great passion and enthusiasm for Homecoming's mission,” Berdan (juniorsupply chain management) said in the release. “I am excited to see all of the incredible work that they will accomplish over the next year!” Planning for next year’s Homecoming celebration will be underway soon, and the directors will be charged with overseeing more than 270 volunteers, according to the release. “This group of Directors has already portrayed a diverse skillset that shows promise for the future of Homecoming,” Berdan said in the release. Homecoming Week 2017 featured staple events including the Best of Penn State Carnival, the For The Glory Talent Show and the Homecoming Parade. John Urschel, the former Nittany Lions offensive lineman and now MIT doctoral student, served as the grand marshal.
