Pitri Tarpana Manuals Learn & Do It Yourself! P.V.R. Narasimha Rao You can use the resources on this website to perform pitri tarpanas by yourself. Pitri tarpana is a Hindu water ritual where water oblations are made to gods, rishis (sages) and pitris (ancestral manes), with a prayer to satisfy any pending mental desires on their part and free them. If a soul to which we are indebted is troubled by some unfulfilled desires, it can resonate with a part of our own mind and impact our life too. Hence we have a vested interest in helping them move on. Homa (fire ritual) and pitri tarpana (water ritual) are two of the most important rituals of Hinduism that should
be performed regularly. They are both very useful in removing various obstructions in one's material and spiritual lives and giving peace, stability, balance and focus to the mind. There are three versions of the manual available for a download: (1) Regular procedure: This is longer and takes 30-45 minutes depending on how comfortable one is with the procedure. You can download the manual with mantras written in various scripts.
