ADDISON GILBERT HOSPITAL WELCOMES KAREN DAMICO, D.O. Physician is newest addition to Amy Esdale Primary Care (Gloucester, MA) October 24 - Amy Esdale, M.D. is pleased to announce that Karen Damico, D.O. has joined her practice and will be seeing patients at Amy Esdale Primary Care at Addison Gilbert Hospital located at 298 Washington Street in Gloucester. "I am very excited to welcome Dr. Damico to my practice," said Amy Esdale "She provides a great blend of top- notch clinical education and knowledge with a strong passion for providing community-based care. I also expect that she will be an active member of the community and that will be evident over the course of the months and years to come". Dr. Damico received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the New England College of Osteopathic Medicine located in Biddeford, Maine. She completed her residency at Brown University's residency program at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island located in Pawtucket, RI. As an osteopathic medicine practitioner, she is trained in understanding how the mind, body, and spirit connect and impacts the body. "My approach is empathetic and non-judgmental. I see myself as an educator and a guide who empowers individuals to become active decision-makers in their own care," says Damico. The Applicant is submitting its Application as it intends to affiliate to create a new comprehensive, distributed, high quality and high-value non-profit healthcare delivery system to serve patients throughout Eastern Massachusetts. To facilitate the level of economic and clinical integration required to better manage the health of a broad population and meaningfully impact care delivery in the state, the Project would establish a new parent company that will function as the sole corporate member of each hospital, and will also include the participation of the organizations’ accountable care organizations. The Total Value of the Project is estimated to be approximately $5,323,154,000. There is not expected to be any anticipated price or service impacts on the Applicant’s existing Patient Panel.
