Thanks for sharing. I have only one remark. I also started with templates separating functional and nonfunctional requirements. Then I experienced that many people from functional departments had their difficulties with that separation when reviewing and during acceptance periods. Even technical people had their difficulties - forgetting to implement important non-functional requirements due to the fact, that they had to look at two different places in the document structure. We changed structure for requirements completely to a functional architecture of the system, describing all requirements for an architectural element at one place. This was of enourmous help during specification, review and even implementation. So I'm now fond of that structure in spite of so many templates and academic documents describing the traditional separated structure as "standard" (o.k. it's standard usage but I experienced, other structure is more results oriented).
