Job Opportunity Toxicologist Prometic BioSciences Inc. develops unique innovative therapeutics, orally active compounds that target multiple uncovered medical needs in the fields of hematology, oncology, nephrology, fibrosis and autoimmune diseases.
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the conduct of non-clinical toxicology studies.
The Biology Research and Development Department of Prometic BioSciences Inc is looking for an Toxicologist to works with its team in Laval. Under the supervision of the Vice-President, Biology, the toxicologist will be supporting some subsidiaries of Prometic for Small Molecules Therapeutics (SMT) and plasma-derived biopharmaceuticals, as well as any toxicology requirements for affinity chromatography materials.
• Ensures regulatory submission and compliance.
The main responsibilities of the Toxicologist will be to:
• Monitors and evaluates completion of tasks and projects.
• Designs and conducts reports pertaining to non-clinical toxicology studies to support investigational new drug and new drug application programs.
• Provides data analysis and interpretation in preparation for final reports. • Performs quality control checks on non-clinical pharmacology and toxicology documents for regulatory submission. • Assists in the preparation of documents and annual investigational new drug and new drug application reports. • May build and maintain technical databases, archives and department procedures manuals.
• Other related duties/responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor.
• Manage non-clinical studies with CRO (contracts, protocol design and reports)

The selected candidate must hold a degree PhD. in toxicology or closely related discipline at least five years of experience in a relevant discipline. The position requires in depth understanding of toxicology with a wide-ranging knowledge of non-clinical toxicology studies. The successful candidate will have to be able to represent the departments at cross-functional venues, track record of external representation, thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical R&D process. A pathology background is desirable, but not required.
