Auction Information Properties that remain tax-defaulted for five years or more and have had Power to Sell filed against them may be sold at public auction. Tax sales are currently conducted on the internet. Dates and times of upcoming auctions will be available on this website when they are scheduled and available. Power to Sell Information Properties that have been tax-defaulted for five years or more can and will become subject to the Tax Collector’s Power to Sell if the outstanding defaulted taxes are not redeemed (paid in full) or are without a current installment plan of redemption (payment plan – available to those who qualify). Power to Sell gives the Tax Collector the legal authority to sell the property at auction to recoup any and all unpaid taxes and fees. The right to redeem the property will remain (available) until 5:00pm the day before the auction starts. Properties with defaulted taxes of five or more years are no longer eligible for an installment plan of redemption once Power to Sell has been filed.
