Mental health O. T/ fibromyaglia/Cfs / Psychologist No letter come back from rhumylogist yet saw them 2nd feb. My mental health O.T has asked for me to be referred tp a phycholist and he said many people think fibromyaglia/CFS etc is all in my head. So I'm basically not being believerd because of her. Psychologist Hi all, I hope this isn't too personal. I was wondering how many people here go to counseling? I have come somewhat to terms with the physical limitations but the emotional aspects are overwhelming. Has anyone else been referred to psychological support with fibro? I finally got to see a pain specialist a few weeks back, but all he said was he thought psychological support was the only option to try to get to the root cause of the fibro and to manage the pain. He told me no medications help fibromyalgia. Psychologist won't sign off on disability form I'm frustrated; my psychologist just told me she won't sign off on disability form-but my general practice doctor has. My long standing psychologist feels I first need to go to intensive outpatient program to address anxiety and depression.
