I think I'm going to have a can before my exam today, I've been up since 5 and I don't want to risk getting tired in the exam! besides I find that the energy boost can fill me with confidence.

Good amount of sleep is infinitely better. If you failed in doing that, though, take the red bull.

It'd probably be fine. Some people seem to find with energy drinks that they need the loo pretty soon afterwards though, which could mess up your timings if you have to go?

Works really well for me, Have it about 30min before the exam so that IF there are any jitters then those go away leaving you feel energetic and yeah with wings, I normally have a banana with it too so that it enters the system a bit slower and energy levels don't drop midway through the exam. Go for it, just don't overdo it.

Don't do it, Caffeine can make you nervous, which could be disaster. Load up on lots of water and proteins if you're tired.

I love Red Bull. If you drink it just before you shouldn't crash, but it might make you jittery and anxious so I wouldn't advise it.

Don't do it !! It could make you jittery / so hyper you can't concentrate , proplus is a better option ..less sugar involved.

If you haven't tried it in an exam before I wouldn't suggest you test it out in the most important one. Just try and get a good nights sleep and have breakfast.

IMO if you have an exam over about 1 hour 30 minutes it is not a good idea, for the reasons mentioned, one you end up feeling sluggish and hungry and tired after about the 2 hour mark after having it, and two its a diuretic so you start needing the toilet too early in the exam.

Also Red Bull is better for things where you have to do physical activity afterwards eg before going out to play a rugby game or something, its not ideal when you have to sit still. In the exam hall it makes you fidget and want to get up and walk around etc. Rule no.1 with Red Bull though is, if you aren't used to drinking it, don't suddenly drink it before an exam, you don't know how it will agree with you.

For my M2 exam I drank a can of "Boost" and finished it before the exam. - I felt good after it like it was a good exam. Using Arseys unofficial mark schemes I calculated I got around 70/75 which is 93%

C3 was yesterday, drank a can, felt good. Using Arseys unofficial mark scheme, calculated I have around 72/75. When I drink it I feel no overpowering effect whatsoever but it does have the property of calming me down for some reason. It works for me, gets me into the exam mood.

If you're in the correct mind-state, you will not feel jittery.

any nerves you have will be amplified...you will become more aware of stray thoughts in your mind which you will normally dismiss...this can slow you down...it may help your confidence( which is in your mind) but afterwards you realise you could have done without it.
