PUBLICAR EN ACCESO ABIERTO Vías para el Acceso Abierto Existen dos vías para publicar en Acceso Abierto:
La vía dorada: publicación en revistas en Acceso Abierto. Tipología de las revistas en Acceso Abierto: Gratuitas y libres: acceso libre y gratuito a los contenidos. Permiten la reutilización y redifusión de los contenidos. Los editores actúan como patrocinadores y suelen estar adscritos a sociedades científicas. A esta modalidad también se le denomina Vía Platino. De pago por publicación (a cargo del autor): los autores pagan tasas para la publicación de sus originales. Consultar listado de revistas Predator. Revista comercial (modelo híbrido): hay algunas publicaciones en las que coexisten artículos en abierto con artículos sujetos a suscripción. En ocasiones es el autor quien paga por publicar en estas revistas, dando lugar a lo que se denomina como double dipping, fenómeno consistente en la doble compensación económica que reciben los editores por los mismos contenidos (por parte del autor/investigador y por parte de los suscriptores). También existe la posibilidad de que la revista permita el acceso abierto después de un periodo de embargo. La vía verde: publicación en repositorios. Tipología de repositorios: Institucionales: el Repositorio Institucional de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas almacena, preserva, organiza y difunde en línea los resultados de la actividad académica e investigadora de la comunidad universitaria. Temáticos: difunden la producción científica en áreas concretas de conocimiento.

El autor de una obra posee los derechos sobre la misma desde el momento de su creación; los derechos de contenido moral son irrenunciables. En cambio los de contenido económico -derechos de explotación- se pueden ceder a terceros. Por eso al enviar un artículo para publicar es muy importante conocer la política por la que se rige la editorial respecto al acceso abierto; aunque la mayoría de las revistas y editoriales permiten difundir sus trabajos en repositorios institucionales, es obligación del autor informarse de las mencionadas políticas. Para simplificar la tarea existen dos proyectos:

Licencias Creative Commons Es una organización no gubernamental que ofrece a los creadores de una obra expresar de forma sencilla sus derechos como autor. Son un instrumento legal que regula qué usos se pueden hacer de las obras intelectuales. Son de caracter gratuito, se otorgan a perpetuidad y son no-exclusivas. El autor se reserva el derecho de explotación de dicha obra mediante cualquier otro sistema. Existen seis modelos de licencias Creative Commons Utilización de adendas. Para evitar la cesión total y exclusiva de los derechos de explotación de las obras, podemos utilizar una adenda. La adenda es un documento que acompaña al contrato editorial comercial y que su función es retener algunos derechos sobre la obra con la finalidad de difundirla en acceso abierto. OPENSCIENCE: DATOS DE INVESTIGACIÓN EN ABIERTO OpenScience o Ciencia Abierta es un movimiento que pretende lograr que la investigación científica, los datos, el acceso y la difusión llegue a toda la sociedad. Este movimiento se basa en la colaboración y contribución, que se puede promover cuando los datos de investigación, notas de laboratorio y otros procesos de investigación son de acceso abierto, en unos términos que permitan la reutilización, redistribución y reproducción de la investigación. CIENCIA ABIERTA: LA INVESTIGACIÓN Y LOS DATOS CIENTÍFICOS ACCESIBLES Y ABIERTOS
La Ciencia Abierta se basa en seis principios para abrir sus procesos y resultados de una investigación científica. Abrir la revisión por pares y los recursos educativos abiertos son otros dos aspectos importantes. “Conocimiento Abierto” se definide por: Metodologías Abiertas / Open Methodology ; Soft y Hard Libres (software y hardware); Datos Abiertos / Open Data (libres para reutilizar); Acceso Abierto / Open Access (libre y gratuito); Revisión por pares Abierto / Open Peer Review; Recursos Educativos Abiertos / Open Educational Resources (MOOCs, OERs o REAs). LA ELABORACIÓN DE UN PLAN DE GESTIÓN DE DATOS
El Programa Marco de Investigación e Innovación de la Unión Europea Horizonte 2020 incluye un Piloto de Datos de Investigación en Acceso Abierto cuyo objetivo es garantizar el acceso y la reutilización de los datos generados en el ámbito de proyectos participantes. El Programa Horizonte 2020 requiere que los proyectos que formen parte del Piloto de Datos de Investigación en Abierto entreguen un Plan de Gestión de Datos completo durante los 6 primeros meses del proyecto. Un Plan de Gestión de Datos es un documento que describe el tratamiento que van a recibir los datos de investigación recopilados o generados en el curso de un proyecto de investigación. En este sentido, la Comisión Europea publicó una Comunicación en abril de 2016 en la que dictaba que el proyecto piloto de Horizonte 2020 dejará de ser piloto en 2017 y la norma será el acceso abierto a los datos de investigación por defecto para cualquier proyecto. A nivel estatal, el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) junto a seis universidades españolas han lanzado Maredata, una red temática nacional que almacena en abierto datos de investigación para su reutilización por otros sectores interesados en la información científica. Ventajas de citar los datos de investigación: Los conjuntos de datos también son resultados de investigación como artículos, monografías, etc. Citar los datos de investigación facilita la identificación y el acceso a los datos y de esta forma su localización, validación y reutilización. Permite conocer la autoría de sus creadores. Facilita la métrica e impacto de los datos. Favorece la transparencia en la investigación científica.

QUÉ ES EL ACCESO ABIERTO
Según la declaración de Budapest "acceso abierto" [a la literatura científica revisada por pares], se refiere a la disponibilidad gratuita en la Internet pública, permitiendo a cualquier usuario leer, descargar, copiar, distribuir, imprimir, buscar o añadir un enlace al texto completo de esos artículos, rastrearlos para su indización, incorporarlos como datos en un software, o utilizarlos para cualquier otro propósito que sea legal, sin barreras financieras, legales o técnicas, aparte de las que son inseparables del acceso mismo a la Internet. La única limitación en cuanto a reproducción y distribución, y el único papel del copyright (los derechos patrimoniales) en este ámbito, debería ser la de dar a los autores el control sobre la integridad de sus trabajos y el derecho a ser adecuadamente reconocidos y citados.
Beneficios del Acceso Abierto Publicar en Acceso Abierto aumenta la visibilidad de la obra, del autor y de la propia Universidad. Los protocolos internacionales para la descripción de contenidos y la interoperabilidad entre plataformas hacen que los contenidos en acceso abierto sean recolectados y recuperados más fácilmente por los buscadores en internet. Una mayor visibilidad se traduce en un mayor número de citas y mayor inmediatez de las mismas. El acceso abierto también favorece la preservación en formato electrónico de las obras.

Article 1. General points 1.
Loans are personal and non-transferable and the user must provide identification. To use the Lending Service, the user must present his or her university card to prove that he or she is a member of the university community. Users who are not part of the university community must present their Library card and national identity card. Documents that are classified as reference only owing to their particular characteristics (incunabula, antique collections, reference works, dictionaries, encyclopedias, journals, pamphlets, theses, dissertations, and final degree projects), may only be consulted in the Library's premises. The home loan policy for the free access holdings in the reading rooms will be the same for all types of user. To borrow tests, users must present signed authorization by the lecturer who has recommended their use. The authorization form is available from the Library's counters. Holdings that are not available as home loans may be consulted in the reading rooms. The Library staff will reserve documents for use in the rooms from one day to the next for users who request it. Users can request documents from any of the branches of the Library Service and choose which counter they wish to collect them from for consultation or home loan. Likewise, loaned documents can be returned to any of the counters (Alberto Aguilera, 23 and 25, Cantoblanco, and San Juan de Dios). The Library Service may request the return of a loan, even though the loan period has not ended, from users whose loan policy exceeds 8 days, in order to enable consultation by other users for a period not exceeding 5 days.

*LPart time academic staff and students on courses lasting less than one academic year may make use of all of the Library's services for the duration of that course. The card will be valid for the duration of the corresponding academic year. They must provide this information to the Library staff. **Visitors with a Card People who are not part of the university community but who need to use the Library Service. The Library Service will issue a card, with a maximum validity of one year if the grounds for requesting it are deemed to be justified. 2.
Documents published before 1960 can be subject to special loan with the approval of the director of the Library Service or someone to whom these powers are delegated.
Article 3. Reading room loan 1.
Those holdings that are not available as home loans and may only be consulted with Library's premises are included in this mode: Documents from before 1960. Incunabula and Antiquities. Reference works in the Reading Room, dictionaries, encyclopedias, journals, pamphlets, doctoral theses, dissertations, and final Bachelor's projects. Any holdings that the Library Service includes in this classification owing to their particular characteristics.

A reservation is defined as the ability to request in advance a work from the catalog that is on loan at the time of the request. When the work becomes, available the Library Service will immediately inform the user who will have 3 days to take it out on loan. After this period the document will be submitted to the person who made the second reservation request, if there is one, or will be returned to the library's repositories.

Renewable loans can be renewed by users on-line, by telephone, and by email, or at any of the Library Service's counters. The Library Service will inform users by email when the loan period is about to expire. A loan may be renewed two days before the end of the loan period and only if it has not been reserved by another user.
Article 6. Users' obligations 1.
Any user who has documents on loan must take care of their integrity and good preservation and inform library staff of any damage observed in it at the time it is withdrawn on loan. The user is obliged to return the document to the Library, when the loan period is over in the same physical conditions in which it was loaned.

Article 7. Penalties In order to ensure the adequate functioning of the loan service, the following system of penalties is established in accordance with Section IV. Infractions and Sanctions of the Library Service Regulations. 1.
Delays in returning documents will be penalized with suspension of the loan facility for a number of days during which the user cannot use this Service. One day of suspension will be imposed for each overdue day for each item that the user has beyond the end date of the loan. No penalty will be imposed if there is good cause for being unable to return the loan within the period. Repeated failure to return documents within the set period will lead to suspension of the right to use the loan service for a period of three to six months. In the case of loss, failure to return the item a month after the end of the loan period, or damage to the holdings, the user is obliged to replace the work that has been lost or damaged, or has not been returned, with another copy. If this is not possible because the work is out of print and/or difficult to acquire, the user will pay a sum as estimated by the Library Service that is equivalent to the value of the document or, if appropriate, will pay the costs of its restoration, without prejudice to any sanctions to which he or she would be liable as this is as a very serious offense as set out in the University's General Regulations.

CHARTER OF RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS Users' rights Users of the Comillas Pontifical University Library are entitled to: Access and consult the University's bibliographic and documentary collection regardless of the format on which they are held, with the exception of the documents held in the General Archive. Borrow the requested documents, in accordance with the Library Service's loan regulations that are in force. Have at their disposal quality spaces, media, and information resources for studying, teaching, and research, with up-to-date holdings that meet their needs. Receive training sessions to make the most of the available resources and services. Receive guidance on searching for and obtaining information from specialized library staff. Obtain documents from other libraries through the Document Access and Interlibrary Loan services if the documents in question are not in the University Library's holdings. Receive correct and efficient service from the library staff, whether in person, on the telephone, or by email.
Users' obligations Users of Comillas Pontifical University Library are obliged to: Identify themselves as users if asked to do so by library staff. Use documents responsibly, whatever format they are in. Respect the University Library's facilities, furniture, and equipment. Comply with instructions from the Service's staff regarding the use of the facilities, furniture, and equipment. Respect the legislation in force regarding intellectual property when copying any document. Familiarize themselves with and comply with the loan regulations in order to respect the rights of the other users. Cooperate with the Library Service to maintain its correct functioning.

ACQUISITIONS REGULATIONS Index Maintaining the bibliographic and documentary heritage Books Periodicals (journals) Donations Acquiring documents Selection criteria Procedure for making acquisitions requests Approved by the Governing Board on April 29, 2002 REGULATIONS FOR MAINTAINING THE BIBLIOGRAPHIC AND DOCUMENTARY PATRIMONY AND FOR ACQUIRING DOCUMENTS AT COMILLAS PONTIFICAL UNIVERSITY As established in sections 1 and 4, 1 a) of the Regulations of the Library Service, this unit is responsible for the acquisition and care of all of the University's bibliographic and documentary collection, with the exception of documents belonging to the University's General Archive, regardless of their format, where they are stored, and which budget item they were charged to when acquired. All of these bibliographic and documentary holdings comprise the bibliographic and documentary patrimony of Comillas Pontifical University and as inventory they must be included in the Library Service Catalog. Taking the above into account, any type of monograph (book), periodical (journals and others), or any other type of document (videos, conference proceedings, etc.) that is obtained through acquisition, exchange or donation made by any section, department, institute, center or person pertaining to the University must be cataloged by the Library Service. Bibliographic resources whose acquisition is funded by research projects with cost centers other than the Library's ones will also form part of the University's Library's collections and as such must be managed through the Acquisitions Unit of the Library Service and included in the Catalog. Restrictions on the use of these documents may be established up to the end of the research project or for other reasons, so long as they are justified. Likewise, the Library Service must be informed of any documents generated within the University itself that might be of interest to the university community for teaching and research purposes so that they can be added to the Catalog, on condition that they do not contain confidential material.
Maintaining the bibliographic and documentary heritage Any material that is capable of forming part of the University's bibliographic and documentary holdings must be included in the Library Service's catalog. If it is to be newly acquired, this will be arranged by the Acquisitions Unit of the Library Service. Bibliographic and documentary holdings that are not available for loan or consultation owing to their confidential nature or other factors determining their use must also be included for inventory purposes. With regards to the Library Service, this must have a collections management policy in place that is focused on meeting the University's aims: To this end, the Director of the Library Service, advised by the Service Committee, will draw up an annual investment and acquisitions plan in accordance with the needs of the different faculties, schools, and institutes and in accordance with the budget projections. This plan will be presented to the Governing Board for approval. Books The collection must, as a minimum, provide the basic bibliography for students and teaching staff and the necessary documentary holdings to cover research work. Any other document required for the purposes of managing or providing information for the centers will be acquired by the Library Service and listed in its Catalog. Faculties and Schools shall provide information to the Library Service on the recommended reading lists for each module with sufficient notice for them to be available during the academic year. The categories for the collections that must be considered in relation to the different types of user include: Basic holdings for basic learning and training (manuals, basic bibliography, journals, general literature, etc.). General and specialized reference and consultation materials (directories, encyclopedias, dictionaries, bibliographies, catalogs …). Basic holdings for academic staff, specifically for teaching. Research collections. Collections supporting the management of the University. Other holdings of interest for the University that add specific value to the collection. Periodicals (journals) All periodical publications (journals) received at the University, either through purchase, exchange, or donation, must appear in the Library Service Catalog and must be available for consultation by the whole university community. All subscriptions will be taken out in the name of the institution. Personal subscriptions will not be accepted. Any subscription to a new title or cancellation of an existing subscription must be adequately justified by the center, department, or institute proposing it. Annual subscriptions will be renewed automatically, unless cancellation is expressly indicated. The following criteria for rationalization will be taken into account in the periodicals section. Avoiding unnecessary duplication Maintaining subscriptions for a minimum of five years Availability of the titles in other nearby centers or in photo-documentation centers Assessing general relevance, impact, use, and demand Loose sections of journals will not be bought. Interlibrary loans will be used to obtain specific articles. Donations The Library Service reserves the right to refuse to accept bibliographic material donated by institutions or individuals, taking into consideration the interest and usefulness of these holdings for the Library and its users. In order to decide on the interest of these holdings, relevant information will be requested about the works that are offered as a donation. The Library Service will decide on the location, use, and final fate of the donated material in accordance with the general policy for organizing holdings. Donations of bibliographic material will, in general, be accepted with no conditions of any type imposed by the person or institution making the donation, unless with the specific agreement of the parties.
Acquiring documents All members of the university community may request the acquisition of documentary and bibliographical resources. Consequently, any user of the Library Service may suggest the purchase of bibliographic and documentary holdings. In the case of students, suggestions must be approved by a lecturer. Final responsibility for selecting the collection lies with the director of the Library Service. The director of the Library Service may request guidance from other academic staff on the advisability of accepting particular requests in particular those who are members of the Library Service Committee. Selection criteria The criteria that the Library Service will use to authorize acquisitions of bibliographic holdings are listed here for information purposes. 1.
Thematic content: A decision will be made about whether they are of essential, auxiliary, or of tangential importance to the University's study and research programs. A decision will also be made as to whether they form part of the programs' fundamental, specialized, or marginal areas. Quality: A decision will be made on whether the authors and works are of fundamental importance for a subject, whether they provide new theories, knowledge, or focuses, and whether they are general works, specialist works or works of dissemination. Predicted use: This will be evaluated as an important but non-exclusive criterion in the selection of a book. Consideration will be given to whether they are basic consultation works for the curricula as well as whether they are documents of general interest for consultation on subjects that are not specific to particular curricula and research programs. Likewise, consideration will be given to whether their consultation is transitory or lasting.

Suitability for the collection: Consideration will be given to whether the work is appropriate for developing a balanced and consistent collection, taking into account whether it forms part of its core, whether it develops specific areas, or whether it fills existing gaps. Likewise, consideration will be given to the level of coverage of the subject (students, researchers …) as well as whether they belong to pre-existing priority collections.) an

Bibliographic values: The quality and level of specialization of the publishing house, sponsoring body, and type of publication (reports, working papers, unpublished theses …) will be taken into account. Language of publication Consideration will be given to the language of publication in accordance with the extent of development of a specific subject in that language, as well as the knowledge and use of that language by the university community. Budgetary availability: Budgetary availability in the subject area to which the request relates will be considered in order to ensure a balance between the different areas.

Procedure for making acquisitions requests All requests for bibliographic material are to be made through the Acquisitions Unit of the Library Service. Direct purchases may not be made by any members of the university community, regardless of the budget item to which the acquisition is charged. The following procedure must be followed: 1.
To request the purchase of bibliographic and documentary sources, the appropriately completed standard form (see ANNEX I) must be sent to the Library Service. The following information must be provided on these forms that are available from the Library Service or through its website:

Details of the person suggesting the document The following information about the material requested is required: Author(s), in the case of monographs Title of the monograph or the periodical (journals) Publisher Year Edition ISBN/ISSN Number of copies wanted. If more than one, an explanation must be given. Reasons for the request. 3.
Once the purchase request has been received, to avoid unnecessary duplications, and before processing the requests, checks will be made to ensure that the requested document is not already part of the Library Service's holdings.

A single copy will be acquired in all cases except when the acquisition of more than one has been justified and approved. Once approval has been given by the director of the Library Service, the process of acquisition will begin.

The Acquisitions Unit will inform the interested party of requests that are not approved by the director of the Library Service, explaining the reasons for this decision.

The Acquisitions Unit will process the requests using the most appropriate supplier depending on the subject and type of materials selected. The Acquisitions Unit will inform the applicant of receipt of the document and any incident relating to the request for an acquisition.
If acquisition of the document is charged to any cost center other than the Library, the person in charge of said cost center must authorize the corresponding purchase request (see ANNEX I). In these cases, the procedure to follow is also the same as is mentioned above but authorization by the director of the Library Service will be virtually automatic as the need for the acquisition will normally be justified by the availability of the specific budget for it. Only in certain extraordinary and justified cases will authorization be given for the interested party to purchase the bibliographic holding directly. To do so, and before making the acquisition, the person responsible for the purchase must contact the head of the Acquisitions Unit who will provide notification of the process that must be followed to make the purchase. The University will accept no retrospective responsibility for purchases made without following the established procedure. HISTORY
Comillas Pontifical University Library is a service that provides support for study, teaching, and research. It is organized as a single university library with five service points: one located at the Cantoblanco campus, and four at the Alberto Aguilera campus in the city of Madrid. The current library has a rich collection of antique books: 23 incunabula, 2,000 books from the 16th century, and some 20,000 volumes by scholastic authors from the 17th and 18th centuries. The unification and coordination of the aforementioned libraries has culminated in the creation of an outstanding bibliographic collection in theology, philosophy, and sciences of the spirit. The old General Library (Comillas - Cantabria) Cantoblanco Campus - Central Library This campus began its existence with the foundation of the Society of Jesus' Pontifical Seminary and University in Comillas (Cantabria) in 1892. In 1967 the University moved to Madrid, and in 1972 it settled in the new Cantoblanco campus. Its own library holdings were enriched as a result of the move to Madrid, with contributions from the libraries of the following centers: Faculty of Theology of Oña (Burgos), Faculty of Philosophy of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), the Center for Humanistic Studies of Aranjuez (Madrid), the Center for Humanistic Studies of Salamanca, the Center of Oriental Studies of Madrid, and other private donation of great importance, primarily by Jesuits.
Alberto Aguilera/Quintana/Rey Francisco campus The Catholic Institute of Arts and Industry (ICAI) of Madrid started out as the School for Mechanics and Electricity, founded in 1908. In 1961 Catholic Institute of Business Administration and Management (ICADE) was founded with its own library. The two institutes merged in 1964. In 1980 the library of the Faculty of Canon Law was added and in 1985 the library of Professor Luis García de Valdeavellano was also added. Its collections have subsequently been enriched with the Beltrán de Heredia library (93-94 academic year) as well as private donations. In October 1996 the Quintana library was established with holdings from the Cantoblanco and Alberto Aguilera campuses. Since October 2006 there has been a Library Service point in the ICADE Business School located in Rey Francisco street. Each location holds the bibliographic collections of the Faculties and Schools located on that campus. Cantoblanco contains the main philosophy, theology, psychology, pedagogy, classical literature, and spirituality collections, as well as a sizable collection relating to other disciplines in the humanities such as literature and history. The Alberto Aguilera campus holds the main law, economics, and business studies collections, supporting the ICADE's courses and the courses at the ICADE Business School, as well as mechanical engineering, physics, information technology, and new technologies for ICAI programs. The Quintana service point holds the translation and interpreting collections.
Ciempozuelos campus This Library makes available to the university community the bibliographic collections for the Nursing and Physical Therapy programs that our University delivers at the San Juan de Dios Nursing and Physical Therapy School. These programs are widely recognized and benefit from a considerable degree of experience, having been delivered since 1957 and 1993 respectively.
INTRODUCTION The Library Service is an operational which acquires, organizes, processes, and cares for all of the University's bibliographic and documentary collection and makes it available to users, regardless of their format, where they are stored, and which budget item they were charged to when acquired, except for documents belonging to the University's General Archive. The basic purpose of the University Library is to ensure that there is a broad bibliographic and documentary base to allow Comillas Pontifical University to fulfill its teaching, study, and research aims. The roles of the University Library Service include: Acquiring, organizing, preserving, and disseminating the bibliographic and documentary holdings of Comillas Pontifical University. Guaranteeing awareness and use of its own holdings by the university community and making available the information held in other libraries and information centers in both Spain and the rest of the world, in particular university libraries. Participating in programs and agreements in order to improve its own services.

FORMACIÓN EN COMPETENCIAS INFORMACIONALES ¿Qué son las competencias informacionales? Las competencias informacionales son el conjunto de conocimientos, habilidades, disposiciones y conductas que capacitan a los individuos para reconocer cuándo necesitan información, dónde localizarla, cómo evaluar su idoneidad y darle el uso adecuado de acuerdo con el problema que se les plantea. Se puede definir la competencia informacional como la adquisición por parte del que recibe la formación de las habilidades siguientes: buscar la información que necesita analizar y seleccionar la información de manera eficiente organizar la información adecuadamente utilizar y comunicar la información eficazmente de forma ética y legal, con el fin de construir conocimiento
Alcance La capacitación en competencias informacionales se desarrolla a través de formación que imparte el Servicio de Biblioteca. Esta formación está dirigida a los distintos grupos de usuarios que utilizan los servicios de la Biblioteca. Estudiantes de los primeros cursos de las titulaciones de Grado que acceden por primera vez a la Biblioteca y necesitan conocer todas las herramientas y servicios que se le ofrecen, así como adquirir conocimientos en la búsqueda y uso de la información. Usuarios que conozcan todas las utilidades de la Biblioteca pero necesitan un adiestramiento en profundidad de determinados recursos de información, así como herramientas de ayuda en la gestión bibliográfica personal. Profesores e Investigadores con necesidades específicas relativas a la calidad de sus publicaciones y a la visibilidad de su producción científica.
Oferta formativa El Servicio de Biblioteca ofrece un catálogo de cursos orientados a los distintos grupos. Cada curso adapta sus contenidos y duración en función de las necesidades de los asistentes y de la disciplina en la que se incluye (Filosofía, Economía, Psicología…). Catálogo de cursos

Valoración de los cursos de formación de usuarios La acción formativa finaliza con la valoración de los usuarios del curso al que han asistido. El objetivo de estas encuestas es conocer el grado de satisfacción de los usuarios respecto a la formación recibida, con el propósito de adaptarnos mejor a sus necesidades y aumentar la calidad del servicio de formación.

TRAINING IN INFORMATIONAL SKILLS What are informational skills? Informational skills are the set of knowledge, abilities, attitudes, and behaviors that make individuals able to recognize when they need information, where to find it, how to evaluate its adequacy, and how to make appropriate use of it in the context of the problem that they are facing. Informational skills can be defined as acquisition, by the person receiving training, of the following abilities: to find the information that is needed to analyze and select information efficiently to organize information appropriately to use and share information effectively in an ethical and legal manner, in order to build knowledge
Scope Informational skill building takes place through the training provided by the Library Service. This training is intended for the various groups of users who use the Library Services. Students in the early years of Bachelor's degrees who are accessing the Library for the first time and need to learn about all of the tools and services that are available to them, as well as acquiring knowledge about searching for and making use of information. Users who are familiar with all the Library's services but need in-depth training on particular information resources, as well as tools for help in managing their personal bibliography. Lecturers and researchers with special requirements regarding the quality of their publications and the visibility of their academic output.
Training programs The Library Service offers a catalog of courses aimed at different groups. The content and duration of each course are modified depending on the needs and the academic discipline (philosophy, economics, psychology…) of those taking it Course catalog
Requesting training courses in CI2 Courses are delivered from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. For other times, please ask the contact person. To request a course, contact Daniel de la Hoz López for dates, content, and any other necessary information. The Library tries to meet the training requirements of lecturers and students. For specific training that is not covered by the courses on offer, contact Mª del Puy Salvador, Deputy Director of the Library.
Evaluation of training courses for users The training concludes with users evaluating the course they have taken. The aim of these surveys is to discover how satisfied users are with the training received in order to meet their needs better and improve the quality of the training service.

QUALITY OF ACADEMIC PUBLICATIONS Monographs SPI (Scholarly Publishers Indicators) A project by the Spanish National Research Council's (CSIC) ILÍA Group. An information system that offers indicators and tools relating to academic publishers or publishers of interest for research in the fields of the humanities and the social sciences. The results are intended to provide an objective answer, or help to provide an objective answer, to the “prestige of the publisher” indicator used by evaluation agencies. It provides the following bibliometric indicators: Number of books published Number of chapters published Total number of citations Normalized number of citations according to the “Crown Indicator” Index of activity: distribution of books in a particular field Publishers Scholar Metrics A bibliometric index created by the EC3 research group (Evaluation of Science and Scientific Communication) This aims to measure the impact of the publishers of academic monographs by counting the citations of books published by academic staff and researchers from Spanish public universities indexed in Google Scholar up to 2012 in the fields of the humanities and social sciences. This project started out with the aim of satisfying and responding to the demand by the agencies that evaluate academic activity (CNEAI, ANEP, ANECA) to evaluate the performance of publishers and the books they publish. These agencies regard the following as preferential criteria: the number and quality of citations received; the prestige of the publisher; the editors; the collection in which it is published; reviews in specialist academic journals; translations; inclusion in bibliographies. This tool provides a response to the first two variables: the number and quality of the citations. Academic Publishing Quality (CEA-APQ) Series Seal 29 series have obtained the Seal of quality. Eight of them have also achieved special mentions of internationality. The seal is promoted by the Spanish Union of Academic Publishers (UNE) and endorsed by the National Quality and Accreditation Agency (ANECA) and the Spanish Science and Technology Foundation (FECYT).
Journals MIAR (Matriu d'Inforemació per a l'avaluació de Revistes) A search for any ISSN in the system will find amongst the databases included in the matrix in which the journal is indexed, whether it is included in MIAR or not, and will calculate its ICDS (Composite Secondary Dissemination Index). Its aim is to discover the strengths and weaknesses of the Spanish university research system in order to measure its capacity for generating knowledge in the different academic fields and disciplines. Organized in 12 academic fields and 37 disciplines, it makes it possible to see which universities are most influential. As a source of information it uses Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports (Thomson-Reuters). IUNE Observatory - Research Activity in Spanish Universities A group of researchers from the universities that comprise the “Alianza 4U”: Madrid Carlos III University, Autonomous University of Madrid, Autonomous University of Barcelona, and the Pompeu Fabra University. It provides up-to date and reliable information on different aspects of the research activity of Spanish universities. It prepares a range of R&D&I variables and indicators that make it possible to determine the activity of public and private universities, academic staff, research activity, innovation, competitive capacity, and researcher training activity. International InCites Essential Science Indicators (ESI) A global compilation on scientific performance and data about trends in science derived from the Web of Science Core Collection. It evaluates the research performance of institutions, countries, researchers, and journals Scimago Institution Ranking This project developed by SRG (SCImago Research Group) is a platform for academic evaluation platform and creating rankings to analyze the academic output of universities and academic institutions. Its aim is to design analysis tools to help institutions to monitor and evaluate their academic production and take decisions to increase their academic output and finance projects. Academic Ranking of World Universities ARWU (Shangai) Compiled by a group of specialists in bibliometrics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. It uses six objective indicators to classify universities from around the world. These indicators are: the number of alumni and lecturers who have won Nobel prizes and Fields medals; the number of highly-cited researchers; the number of articles published in the journals Nature and Science; the number of articles indexed in the Science Citation Index - Expanded (SCIE) and Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI); and the performance per capita in relation with the size of the institution. The ARWU classifies over 1,200 universities per year and the 500 best are published on-line. Nature Index Database of author affiliation information collated from research articles published in an independently selected group of 68 high-quality science journals. The database is compiled by Nature Publishing Group (NPG). The Nature Index provides a close to real-time proxy for high-quality research output at the institutional, national and regional level. The Nature Index is updated monthly, and a 12-month rolling window (1 February 2015 - 31 January 2016) of data is openly available under a Creative Commons non-commercial license.

ORIENTACIONES PARA INTRODUCIR EL NOMBRE DE AUTOR EN ORCID Orientaciones de la Biblioteca A la hora de decidir el nombre por el que se nos va a identificar junto al número de ORCID, pueden aparecer dudas para elegir la forma correcta. Después de consultar la forma de introducir el nombre de los investigadores en los repositorios de buen número de universidades españolas, constatamos que la mayoría siguen las indicaciones usuales en catálogos (RDA, RCAA2, GSARE) que reflejan el apellido o dos apellidos y el nombre desarrollados, siempre que así firme el autor la mayoría de sus trabajos. La Biblioteca de la Universidad Pontificia Comillas recomienda seguir la normativa que venimos aplicando en el catálogo (RDA, RCAA2, GSARE…). Esta práctica permite mantener una coherencia lógica ya que coincidirá tanto la forma asignada en el catálogo de la biblioteca, como la del repositorio con la forma principal del registro de ORCID. En dicha normativa cuando un autor tiene dos apellidos, como en el caso de nombres españoles, se indican ambos apellidos seguidos de una coma y el nombre completo del autor más preposiciones que acompañen al primer apellido, o preposiciones y artículos (ejemplo Cervantes Saavedra, Miguel de). Ej. Apellido Apellido, Nombre1 Nombre2 Hay que señalar, sin perjuicio de contradecir la norma general, que un autor puede ser conocido por un solo apellido o por algún nombre con inicial (ejemplo Ramírez, Pedro J.) y así se consignará en la identificación principal. Para cualquier duda, recomendamos consultar el catálogo de Biblioteca. ORCID: Da la posibilidad, y se recomienda encarecidamente, de añadir todas las variantes posibles del nombre dentro del registro de ORCID Por tanto el autor debe: Elegir el formato de firma que le identifique de manera unívoca Reunir las variantes del nombre bajo el formato elegido Mantener el formato de firma Es muy importante introducir la filiación: Universidad Pontificia Comillas Una vez registrado en ORCID, el autor debe utilizar esa forma para firmar sus trabajos.
Otras posibilidades Existen otras recomendaciones (Fecyt, IRALIS) que, debido a la diferente forma de los nombres en inglés, sugieren modificar los nombres para asemejarse a dichas formas. Principalmente se refiere al único apellido que tienen los nombres ingleses. En estas recomendaciones indican que se firme con un solo apellido o que se pueden unir los dos apellidos con un guión para que se entienda como uno único. Así mismo, existen otras orientaciones (Driver) para que siempre aparezca el nombre de pila sólo con las iniciales y luego entre paréntesis se desarrolle dicho nombre.

INTERLIBRARY LOANS AND ACCESS TO DOCUMENTS SERVICE The Interlibrary Loans and Access to Documents Service enables you to borrow original copies and reproductions of documents which are not found among the bibliographic collections of Comillas Pontifical University Library. This Service is available to the entire university network (lecturers, students, doctorate students, non-teaching staff). Likewise, our library supplies documents to any external institution that requests them. Via the Interlibrary Loan Service we can further the development of the collections of each library, but not replace them. Therefore, original documents which have been published recently should not be requested, particularly Spanish, nor documents which are easily obtained. It is necessary to always check the Catalogue of our library before requesting any document. Management is located in the Cantoblanco campus, where the coordination of the university's Interlibrary Loan Service has been set up. In brief, the procedure established by the Interlibrary Loan Service Regulations is the following: REQUESTS: Documents are requested individually and with all possible bibliographic details for their subsequent identification (author, title, city where published, year, pages, ISBN, ISSN, etc.) sent to the following email address:

Portals and search engines PUBMED This is a search engine developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in the USA. It allows access to the databases compiled by the NLM such as MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE (comprising references sent by the publishers), Genbak, and Complete Genome. This includes 16 million bibliographic references and abstracts of articles on medicine, biomedicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, public health, preclinical sciences, and physical therapy from the 1950s to the present day. It also offers numerous full-text articles. CENDOJ (Spanish acronym for Center for Legal Documentation) The General Council of the Judiciary's database, containing over five million sentences passed by the Supreme Court, the High Courts of Justice, the National High Court, and the Provincial High Courts. Eurlex This gives access to all information relating to European Community law. It is free and is updated daily.

It indexes more than 23,000 on-line Economics resources from around the world. Esade Knowledge A portal giving access to intellectual contributions by lecturers and researchers from ESADE, organized by subject areas, types of document, and the names of the lecturers and researchers. RFE (Resources For Economist in Internet) A portal giving access to over 2,000 resources on economics, available on the internet and useful in both the academic and labor fields. It is run by the American Economic Association.
Official national bodies Bank of Spain This is Spain's national central bank and the supervisor of its banking system. It allows access to the complete text of its publications (working documents, reports). State Treasury The institution that issues Spain's public debt under the authority of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. It provides information about Treasury securities. It also describes the Spanish sovereign debt market, it presents the characteristics of the products and their fiscal treatment, the calendar and results of auctions are published here, and its publications are displayed. Economic and Social Council This includes various business and trade union organizations. It is a high-level government advisory group. National Council of the Stock Exchange This is the body responsible for supervising stock exchanges in Spain. Its objective is to guarantee transparency in the stock exchanges.
International organizations International Monetary Fund (IMF) Its objective is to encourage international monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international commerce, promote employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world. It was founded in 1945, and is administered by its 188 member states. World Bank An international organization whose purpose is to combat poverty and support development. It comprises two institutions belonging to its 188 member states: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), and the International Development Association (IDA). The IBRD's objective is to reduce poverty in medium income countries and creditworthy poor countries. The IDA in turn focuses its activities on the poorest countries. These institutions are part of a larger organization better known as the World Bank Group. It was created in 1944 and is based in Washington DC. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development An organization whose objective is to promote policies that improve the economic and social welfare of people around the world. It is a forum where governments can work together to share their experience and find solutions for common problems. European Central Bank The central bank for the European single currency. Its main function is to maintain price stability in the Eurozone, comprising the 17 European Union countries that have adopted the euro since 1999. It allows access to the full text of its open access publications. European Commission The website of the European Commission, the executive body of the European Union that is responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, defending EU treaties, and the EU's everyday activity. European Banking Authority (EBA) A European body whose objectives are the stability of the financial system, the transparency of the markets, and the protection of depositors and investors within the EU. European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) A European body whose objectives are to safeguard the stability and efficacy of the financial system. It operates primarily in the field of activity of companies that offer investment services, corporate governance, accounts auditing, and finance information in the framework of the EU. European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) An EU committee comprising the authorities responsible for supervising insurance and pension funds in the EU.
Databases ISOC Economía A database with Spanish National Research Council abstracts that compiles bibliographic records for articles and gray literature (theses, reports, papers) published in 170 different Spanish journals since 1976. It includes the full text of some of the documents. NBER (National Bureau of Economic Research) A body responsible for diagnosing the economic cycles of the United States and tracing a chronology of its recessions since 1920. It allows access to its database of working documents, many of which are full text. REPEC (Research Papers in Economics) This is the largest open-access on-line library that exists at present. It contains over 900,000 electronic documents. It is an indispensable source of information for accessing the latest Economics research results. Social Science Research Network An open-access database that collates articles and academic journals from the social sciences. It allows the creation of free accounts for consulting and downloading the content of the full-text documents. Repository of the European Central Bank This allows access to the working documents of the ECB with the aim of stimulating discussion and contributing to advancement of knowledge of economic problems.

Aparte de su obra cumbre Cervantes cultivó varios géneros literarios: novela, poesía y teatro. Dignas del autor del Quijote destacan las espléndidas Novelas Ejemplares. Sus obras consideradas menores como La Galatea, novela pastoril; Viaje al Parnaso, poema crítico y autobiográfico o sus obras teatrales: Cerco de Numancia, merecen ser destacadas por ser textos de primer orden que constituyen auténticas joyas. Toda la obra de Cervantes es un arte inmortal, con una profunda complejidad, fruto de estar situada entre los siglos XVI y XVII de cuyas culturas viene a ser una síntesis.

En el artículo del P. Martínez de la Escalera se recogen las referencias al vínculo con la Compañía de Jesús que hacen los biógrafos de Cervantes y los editores de las Novelas Ejemplares: Posibilidad de que Cervantes asistiera entre los 7-17 años (1554-1564) a las Escuelas de Gramática y Humanidades de los jesuitas en Córdoba y Sevilla. Durante su estancia en la Cárcel Real de Sevilla en 1597- abril 1598 era Capellán el Jesuita Pedro de León, alumno a su vez de los Jesuitas de Sevilla. Para el Padre Martínez de la Escalera la referencia en la obra de Cervantes sobre los jesuitas está en la Novela Ejemplar “El Coloquio de los Perros”. En ella se hace un elogio a la educación impartida en los colegios de la Compañía de Jesús.

Por dos veces se refiere Cervantes al estudio de la Compañía una por Berganza y otra por Cipión: BERGANZA.-[ .. .] Este mercader tenía dos hijos, el uno de doce años y el otro de hasta catorce años, los cuales estudiaban gramática en el estudio de la Compañía de Jesús; iban con autoridad, con ayo y con pajes que les llevaban los libros y aquel que llaman «vademecum,). El verlos ir con tanto aparato [ ... ]. CIPIÓN.-[ ... ] Sigue tu cuento, que le dejaste en la autoridad con que los hijos del mercader tu amo iban al estudio de la Compañía de Jesús. Se destaca además la frase puesta en boca de Berganza: BERGANZA —A él me encomiendo en todo acontecimiento. [...]. No sé qué tiene la virtud, que, con alcanzárseme a mí tan poco o nada della, luego recibí gusto de ver el amor, el término, la solicitud y la industria con que aquellos benditos padres y maestros enseñaban a aquellos niños enderezando las tiernas varas de su juventud, porque no torciesen el camino de la virtud, que juntamente con las letras mostraban." FINALIZA: Consideraba cómo los reñían con suavidad, los castigaban con misericordia, los animaban con ejemplos, los incitaban con premios, y los sobrellevaban con cordura, y finalmente, cómo les pintaban la fealdad y horror de los vicios, y les dibujaban la hermosura de las virtudes, para que, aborrecidos ellos y amadas ellas, consiguiesen el fin para que fueron criados.
Expresión que aparece en los Ejercicios Espirituales de S. Ignacio de Loyola, en “Principio y Fundamento”.
Exercicios espirituales del B.P. Ignacio de Loyola. – En Sevilla, En la Imprenta de los Recientes, [1749] Comienza: "El hombre es criado para alabar, hacer reverencia y servir a Dios ...", y concluye : "solamente deseando y eligiendo lo que más conduce para el fin que somos criados." Para el P. Martínez de la Escalera esta coincidencia no es casual, Cervantes debió de tener conocimiento de esta doctrina. Recibiendo esta enseñanza por su asistencia a predicaciones de jesuitas o por haber hecho algunos ejercicios espirituales.
En dicho artículo destaca también, que Cervantes dedicó las Novelas Ejemplares al Conde de Lemos. Es posible que esta circunstancia tenga que ver con el elogio a los jesuitas, ya que el Conde había sido alumno de Colegio de Monforte, fundado por su tío-abuelo.
INTRODUCCIÓN : IV CENTENARIO DE LA MUERTE DE CERVANTES
La Universidad Pontificia Comillas ha querido sumarse a la celebración del IV Centenario de la muerte de Miguel de Cervantes con una serie de actividades, entre las que se incluye una Exposición Bibliográfica en la que se muestra una escogida selección de la rica colección cervantina que atesora en su Biblioteca, la cual acaba de verse incrementada recientemente gracias al traslado de los fondos bibliográficos del Archivo de Alcalá de Henares de la Compañía de Jesús a la Universidad. La Exposición se ha dividido en tres secciones: la Primera dedicada al Quijote, en la que se ha realizado una selección de dicha obra, donde destaca la más antigua del fondo cervantino -una edición contrahecha de 1668-, algunos de los Quijotes más apreciados del siglo XVIII –como los de los impresores Joaquín Ibarra o Gabriel de Sancha-; del XIX –la edición facsímil de Francisco López Fabra con notas de Juan Eugenio Hartzenbusch, o la parisina en miniatura impresa por Didot y bellamente encuadernada “a la catedral” por Réné Simier-; del XX –el Quijote del Centenario, ilustrado con 800 láminas-; del XXI –la edición de la Real Academia Española dirigida por Francisco Rico-; o una representación de la traducción del Quijote a otras lenguas –con ejemplares en distintos idiomas, entre los que llama la atención uno en “latín macarrónico”-. La Segunda sección está dedicada a los diversos géneros literarios trabajados por Cervantes, en la que se ha escogido un ejemplo de cada uno de ellos. Finalmente, la Tercera sección, en la que se establece la relación de Cervantes con la Compañía de Jesús a partir del ensayo realizado por el P. José Martínez de la Escalera, bajo el título “Cervantes y los Jesuitas”, publicado en Anales Cervantinos, Vol 35 (1999): pp. 295-307, donde se analiza dicha vinculación a partir del texto de la novela ejemplar El Coloquio de los Perros.

La de Gabriel Sancha es una de las mejores ediciones del Quijote. La calidad del papel y de la tipografía, las magníficas ilustraciones, el texto y los comentarios de Juan Antonio Pellicer, incluso de mayor calidad que la impresa en cinco volúmenes anterior, entre 1797 y 1798. Contiene treinta y dos grabados de Moreno Tejada y Ametller, según dibujos de Paret y Alcázar: en el frontispicio del tomo I y al comienzo de algunos capítulos. Además, contiene un “Plano geográfico de las Lagunas de Ruidera”, plegado en el tomo sexto, y otro plano que es la “Carta geográfica de los viajes de Don Quixote y sitios de sus aventuras”, delineado por Manuel Antonio Rodríguez, según las observaciones históricas de Pellicer. La Vida de Cervantes elaborada por Pellicer aparece en el tomo noveno, aunque sin datos de parte, por lo que en ocasiones figura como independiente en los catálogos bibliográficos. Resulta una obra imprescindible de consulta para los cervantistas.

Dice Suñé que, salvo algunas variantes que tomó de la edición de Bruselas de 1662 – y coincidiendo con Simón Díaz-, el texto y los añadidos son copia de la edición de 1730 –en la que se suprimieron las dedicatorias de Cervantes y los versos preliminares-, pero con numerosas erratas, unas no corregidas y otras nuevas. Entre las erratas no corregidas figura –como señala Givanel- la de “Laberynto” en el volumen II, página 35, 1ª columna, en ambas ediciones -1730 y 1735-. Esta edición destaca por ser la primera sin los tildes de supresión de /n/ y de /e/. Las ilustraciones copian los grabados de la edición de 1730, aunque peor ejecutados –Givanel, Suñé-, lo que para Rius da “una triste prueba del abatido estado a que habían llegado en esta época las artes y las industrias en España”. El escudo tipográfico representa el águila bicéfala con la corona imperial, emblema de la casa de Austria, con las iniciales A.S. –Antonio Sanz- en el centro.
QUIJOTE BASTIDA

Según Palau, Simón Díaz y Suñé es reproducción de otra edicion de 1668 que, a su vez copia la de 1662, aunque con papel y tirada inferiores, y en la segunda portada descuidaron corregir el año. La presente edición parece ser furtiva y realizada años después, y se reconoce por los tipos gastados y el uso de la “v” en lugar de la “u”. Además, no hay que olvidar que Gabriel de León era suegro de Mateo de la Bastida. Para Givanel las diferencias tipográficas entre las dos ediciones de 1668 demuestran que se trata de una nueva edición. En las cabeceras de las páginas impares se lee “Don Quixote de la Mancha”, mientras que en la edición anterior del mismo año figura el nombre sin el “Don”, además de otras muchas diferencias tipográficas. Según Río y Rico, la edición que nos ocupa es copia de la otra del mismo año, pero difiere de ella en numerosas variantes tipográficas, tanto en las portadas como en el texto. La principal diferencia consiste en que la “u” consonante de la edición anterior se estampa siempre como “v” en la presente.
JULIO DIDOT (1827)

A fines del XVIII y principios del XIX, según Casasayas, hay tres ediciones “autorizadas” en lo que al texto se refiere –la de la Real Academia, la de Bowle y la de Pellicer-, excluyendo la de Tonson que se había quedado relativamente anticuada. Por tanto, a la hora de editar nuevamente el Quijote había que escoger una de las tres o bien mezclar los distintos textos. Joaquín María Ferrer opta por seguir la cuarta edición de la Real Academia, la de 1810. La Academia, después de las Cortes de Cádiz, había encomendado a los célebres cervantistas Martín Fernández Navarrete y Diego Clemencín, la reedición de la obra con un texto que debía diferenciarse del de 1780. Así, se adopta definitivamente la “j” de Quijote, aunque la gran novedad es que se tiene en cuenta que con fecha de 1605 hay dos ediciones distintas del taller de Juan de la Cuesta. El plan de la obra se desarrolla sobre la edición de 1608, la última en la que Cervantes pudo haber participado y, por tanto, considerada como la “postrera voluntad de su autor”, consignándose las variantes de las ediciones de 1605. Pero, los autores confundieron las ediciones, considerando como primera a la segunda, sin tener en cuenta el Privilegio para editarla en Portugal que aparece en la portada de la segunda edición. Según Rico, los autores no colacionaron las distintas impresiones y se ocuparon sólo de comprobar las diferencias con el Quijote de la Academia, sin darse cuenta de la pérdida y recuperación del asno de Sancho. View the embedded image gallery online at: http://www.comillas.edu/en/comillas-university-icai-icade/collaborate-with-us/342-servicios/biblioteca#sigProIdce66683a5f Para la edición, impresa por Jules Didot l’Ainé -hijo de Pierre Didot- se hicieron nuevos tipos que permitieron una edición en miniatura del Quijote, similar a las que se habían editado en Inglaterra con las obras de Shakespeare. El exquisito trabajo de Didot posibilitó la impresión en una sola columna de un texto que normalmente había que hacerlo en dos, debido a la pequeñez de los tipos empleados. E. Stalker realizó nueve grabados, ocho diseñados a partir de una selección de ilustraciones de A. Rodríguez para la edición de 1797 de la Imprenta Real, más un retrato de Cervantes y un mapa con el recorrido de don Quijote. La encuadernación fue realizada por René Simier, natural de Mans, quien había alcanzado prestigio como encuadernador a principios del XIX con trabajos que imitaban el estilo imperio de Bolzérian. Posteriormente, se vio influido por la moda inglesa, desarrollando su propio estilo de encuadernación romántica “a la catedral” -como la de esta edición- así como el estilo restauración. Fue encuadernador de la emperatriz María Luisa desde 1809, de la Duquesa de Berry, del Duque de Burdeos, y del propio Rey de Francia, en 1818. Firma sus trabajos en el lomo: “Simier R. du Roi”. La encuadernación de esta edición del Quijote está hecha en piel de becerro con hierros gofrados en frío y otros dorados en ambas tapas con el retrato en oro de un caballero armado. Y la firma de Simier en el lomo. Según Querard, se imprimieron 700 ejemplares para venta, 300 para regalo y 5 en papel de China.
E. AGUADO (1833)

Esta edición del Quijote es una de las principales y de las más comentadas. El trabajo de Diego Clemencín, el más extenso hasta entonces, tuvo como inspiradores los de Bowle, Pellicer y la Real Academia Española, y sus comentarios han servido y siguen sirviendo de base a cualquiera que desee comentar o analizar el Quijote. Clemencín murió cuando había impreso solo una parte de la obra, por lo que, con el material que había dejado, sus hijos y amigos lograron terminarla, apareciendo los tomos V y VI en 1836 y 1839, respectivamente. La edición, con excelente tipografía y buen papel, con el texto correcto y depurado, presenta dos retratos, uno de Cervantes, y otro del comentarista Diego Clemencín que es una litografía de J. Jorro, según un cuadro de Federico Madrazo, así como doce láminas que son copia reducida de las que se encuentran en la edición de la Academia de 1819.
