Ronald Seals March 18, 1927-Dec. 12, 2011 Ronald L. Seals, 84, of Fortville died Dec. 12. He was 84.

Mr. Seals retired in 2002 after 37 years of owning and operating Ronald L. Seals Funeral Home at Fortville. He had been a funeral director for more than 55 years having worked at the former Bright Funeral Home, which is now Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville. He also operated Seals Ambulance for many years and was one of the first EMTs certified in the state of Indiana. He graduated from Linden High School in 1945, Indiana Mortuary School in 1952 and was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Fortville Christian Church, Charter president of the Fortville Optimist Club and two-time past president of the Fortville Lions Club. His other memberships included: Christian Laymen Fellowship; Fortville Brother & Sisterhood; Indiana Funeral Directors Association; National Funeral Directors Association; F&AM Lodge No. 207; Murat Shrine; and the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. He was born March 18, 1927, at Hoopston, Ill., to Everett Ollie and Lena M. (Laflen) Seals. He married Darline Kimmel on July 19, 1953, at Anderson. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Ronna (Brian) Pannell of Fortville and Renae (Steve) Falksen of Katy, Texas; sons, Randy (Marie) Seals of Fortville and Rick (Shelley) Seals of Noblesville; brother Don (Clara) Seals of Noblesville; sister Joan Schannep of North Vernon; and six grandchildren. Brother Gordon and sister Eileen are deceased. Funeral services were Dec. 17 at Fortville Christian Church. Burial followed at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
