NEWS & EVENTS

All of us at Sachiyo Ito and Company/Dancejapan wish you peace, good health and joy in the New Year! In 2017, thanks to your enduring support, we were able to celebrate a milestone, our 60th program of the Salon Series, as well as offering community services such as Free Japanese Dance Workshop for Children at libraries and schools, and Free Japanese Dance Performances at geriatric centers throughout boroughs of the City of New York.

The Salon Series 20th Season In 2018, the Salon Series, our on-going program on performing arts of Japan, will be in its 20th Year Season. A dialogue between artists and audience follows each program, providing further insights into art and culture, bridging the cultural differences beyond boundaries of ethnicity. With world class guest artists and speakers, the program has artistically and intellectually educated and inspired NY audiences. The following series are planned under the theme of “Looking to Future Generations for Japanese Traditional Performing Arts”. I hope you can enjoy these programs on Sunday afternoons with us. Salon Series No. 61 “Japanese Dance and Experimental Workshop and Forum for the Very Young” on March 11 Salon Series No. 62 “Traditional Japanese Theater and Dance in Contemporary Performing Arts” on June 10 Salon Series No. 63 ”Expression in Traditional and Contemporary Japanese Dance” on October 21 In our mission as an NPO, we will continue to serve our New York community. Your tax-deductible donation is greatly appreciated and will help us fulfill our mission and achieve our aspirations. Donations may be made here: MAKE A DONATION.

Again, wishing you a wonderful New Year!
