Scientific Method Worksheet Use your knowledge of the scientific method to answer the following questions. For problems 1-6,use the following scenario: It's summertime, and you need to get to work at your job as a lifeguard at the city pool. Unfortunately, when you get in your car and try to start it, you find that for some reason, it won't start. For the following questions, use your imagination to describe the line of reasoning you'd use to solve your problem and get to work. 1) What is your purpose?

2) What hypothesis do you have for getting out of this situation? Remember, your hypothesis should be written in the format "If____, then ____"

3) What materials will you need to test your hypothesis?

4) What will your procedure be for testing your hypothesis?

5) What results will likely happen as a result of your experiment? (use your imagination to answer this one)

6) What is your conclusion? (Remember, this should be a restatement of your hypothesis as either being true or false).
