Clearances from other government agencies exercising regulatory function ( 2 copies ). regulatory agencies are the following: ● City Planning and Development Office – for zoning and land use of all types of building/structures. ● Bureau of Fire Protection – for all types of building/structures ● Environment and Natural Resources Office/Department of Environment and Natural Resources – for all commercial and industrial buildings ● Department of Labor and Environment – for industrial buildings ● Department of Health – for health hazard-prone buildings/structures ● Philippine Tourism Authority – for tourist-oriented projects ● Department of Education – for educational buildings ● Energy Regulatory Board – for gasoline stations

To facilitate processing, please take note of the following before submitting the plans and other requirements to the City engineer’s office: ● Requirements of the National Building Code ● Requirements of the Referral Codes (Architectural Code, Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), Revised Plumbing Code, National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP), Philippines Society of Mechanical Engineering Code (PSME), Philippine agriculture engineering act of 1998. ● Laws and City Ordinances affecting the design/project ● Compliance with BP 344 (Accessibility Law) should be indicated in detail on plans for commercial, institutional and public buildings ● If setback/yard requirements are not met on the sides and at the back/rear then a Firewall (strictly no opening) extending up to at least 1 meter from the roof level shall be provided. It shall be indicated on the site development plan with owner’s conformity. ● Grease Traps/Oil Separators shall be provided for hotels, restaurants, eateries, terminals. Gasoline stations, auto repair shops, bakeries and other similar establishments. ● All revisions/additions made in the plans shall have an acknowledgement of the designer ● Special Power of Attorney shall be provided if the owner is not the signatory in all allocation forms, plans and documents. ● All application forms and letters must be properly filled out with all the necessary information available. ● Forms and letters, Plans, Specifications, Bill of Materials and Cost Estimates and other pertinent documents must be signed and sealed by the owner.

how to avail of the service: Follow these steps 1. Secure Building Permit Application Forms Ask for building permit application forms with the list of requirements 2. Secure 1st Endorsement to Other Offices/Agencies Present the plans and the required supporting documents (except clearances from other regulatory agencies) 3. Submit Complete Requirements (with clearances) After Securing clearances from other regulatory agencies, submit all plans and documents to the receiving section. 4. Line and Grade Verification Technical staff in-charge conducts site inspection to establish and determine setbacks and grades in relation to road lots, property lines, streets or highways whether existing or proposed, including road widening and construction of various public utilities and other infrastructure projects 5. Evaluation and Assessment Evaluation and assessment done by: a. Civil engineer – Line and Grade, Structural Plans and related documents b. Architect – architectural plans and related documents c. Sanitary engineer/Master plumber – plumbing/sanitary plans and related documents d. Mechanical engineer – mechanical plans and related documents e. Electrical engineer – electrical plans and relate documents 6. Inquiry on the Status of Application Inquire about the results of evaluation and assessment after 1 day. If there are no deficiencies, proceed to Step 10. 7. Returned Plans and Documents Get the plans and documents that need correction. You will also be informed about lacking documents, if any. 8. Submit the lacking documents/Corrected Plans Submit the lacking documents/corrected plans to any member of the Building Staff for review. 9. Review of Plans/Corrected Plans/Documents review the plans/corrected plans and check the completeness of documents. 10. Issuance of Order of Payment If the application is already complete and in order, an Order of Payment is issued.

III. securing occupancy permit ABOUT THE SERVICE AN OCCUPANCY Permit is required before any building or structure is used or occupied. It is usually secured after the completion of a structure. It is also required if there is any change in the existing use or occupancy classification of a building, structure of any portion thereof.

HOW TO AVAIL OF THE SERVICE: FOLLOW THESE STEPS 1. 1. Secure Certificate of Completion Forms Ask for Completion forms from any member of the building Staff 2. Secure 2nd Endorsement to Other Offices/Agencies Present the duly accomplished form and related documents to any member of the building staff for initial verification of the requirements. A 2nd endorsement will be given so that you can secure a Fire safety Inspection Certificate from the Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP) and a Safety Inspection Certificate from DOLE (for industrial buildings) 3.Submit Requirements After clearances have been secured from the BFP and DOLE, submit the duly accomplished forms and related documents, safety certificates, as-built plans(for any deviations from the approved plans) and detailed sketch of location. Afterwards, request for an inspection schedule 4. Review/Evaluation Technical staff reviews the forms and the construction activity entries in the construction logbook 5. Building inspection Building inspectors/technical staff conduct actual inspection of the completed building/structure, and check if the same is in accordance with the approved plans and specifications 6. Preparation of Inspection Report If the building inspectors find that the completed project had deviations from the approved plans, you will be given an inspection report that lists the needed corrections or other documents required.
