Semi Finals of the National Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran for Youth FRIDAY, 01 MAY 2015 21:35
The National Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran for Youth is a continuous effort by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Youth and Sports Department in producing more qari and qariah who are able to compete at a higher level. Yesterday, 15 participants presented their reading of the holy verses in the semi-finals of the National Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran for Youth. The competition aimed to instil a sense of brotherhood among the young participants through religious programmes. Reading Al Quran and understanding its contents can mould a young generation that is intelligent, devout to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. The reading of AL Quran is also a platform to produce and shape a spiritually and physically top quality and balanced young generation towards realising the country's objective to become a Zikir Nation. The Musabawah Tilawati Quran continued in the afternoon with 14 more participants presenting their reading.
