September 2017 Chamber Chronicle Hobbs August Nites Car Show The Hobbs Chamber of Commerce played a role in bringing back a large community event, Hobbs August Nites, Saturday, August 19, 2017.
process. Jim Collins and Darvin Mack represented the club at all of our mee ngs, and helped guide the commi ee during the planning stages.
Partnering with the local Roadrunner An que Car Club, we held the 1979 and older model car show. Among the winners were Phil Collins and Chester Godwin. Chester Godwin won the Best of Show with his 1934 Chevrolet three window Coupe. Phil Collins was selected by his peers as the People’s Choice winner with his 1930 Model A Ford Street Rod.
