Social Media Manager
Social Media Manager Santa Monica RED is looking for a Social Media Manager to develop social media campaigns and manage the social media presence across RED’s multiple clients. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated team-player with experience planning and implementing relevant social content strategy and growing community participation, who brings a perspective and expertise to the table. This person will be responsible for providing strong creative and strategic thinking in order to engage an audience and drive impactful online conversations on behalf of our clients.
Role and Responsibilities: Manage the full social lifecycle from planning to posting to reporting Work with analytics team to pull out actionable insights and to track campaign effectiveness Partner with creative teams and contribute to brainstorms, large campaign development and content creation Create and maintain the appropriate brand voice and write post copy associated with editorial content for each social channel, ensuring consistency in style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimizing for search and user experience in all channels Manage the day to day social media channels including content publishing, performance analytics, and conversation listening and engagement across multiple clients Maintain social media calendar and editorial calendar Cover live events independently and effectively Develop a deep brand knowledge of the properties or brands you are working on, and maintain a strong pulse of cultural movements, the latest trends, and things happening outside of your purview Bring culturally relevant conversation topics and emerging trends to the broader team Monitor emerging social media channels and competitors to identify trends that are strategically aligned with brand goals
Requirements: 2+ years of agency and/or in-house brand experience Great communication skills, particularly written Comfortable in a scrappy environment and able to think on your feet Great organizational skills, including scheduling and setting deadlines Excellent time management Experience using social management tools such as Sprout, Netbase, Asana, Snappy TV, and Hootsuite. Experience with social media listening and monitoring tools (Infegy / Social Radar, Radian6, etc), tools within native platforms (Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc), and creating performance dashboards and reports Ability to plan and execute media buys across social platforms Familiarity with community do’s and don’ts and unique community qualities for each social platform
