7.1 World Languages All students will be able to use a world language in addition to English to engage in meaningful conversation, to understand and interpret spoken and written language, and to present information, concepts, and ideas, while also gaining an understanding of the perspectives of other cultures. Through language study, they will make connections with other content areas, compare the language and culture studied with their own, and participate in home and global communities

Communication is the ability to understand and be understood in real world contexts. Language and culture are mutually independent. Interdisciplinary Connectedness History: History of first humans in America, the discovery of America, periods of time for big events in America, Study of Royal family from Spain. Evolution of the family on last century, Evolution of the art and impact of literature on the relationship between governments, Influences of social and historical events on violence Science: Physiological and psychological condition of the human body on different stage of life, study the concept of cryopreservation Family and Consumer Science: Influence of the family on each individual decision and future. Relation between family, economy and government, Organization and distribution of responsibilities of different members of the family according to his/her age, Designing strategies that can be implemented to help social groups, families and government fight and prevent the juvenile violence.
English: Study and value of Spanish speaking writers, Study and analysis of the work of important Spanish writers Geography: Location of places discovered by Columbus, location of countries in America, Places of origin of important Spanish speaker artists and migratory flow of artist.
Technology Integration Use of computers, projector, to obtain useful information for the class and for the presentation of projects/activities.
