Details Giants have emerged from their strongholds to threaten civilization as never seen before. Can you stop their destruction before it gets out of control? Come join us for Season 5 – STORM KING’S THUNDER, an Official Adventurer’s League (AL) D&D 5e game. My plan is to run this game 2 X/month on Saturdays only. If you have guest(s), please ensure that you add them or ask them to sign up for the Meetup and then RSVP themselves. If you RSVP’d for the game and can’t make it for any reason, please ensure that you change your RSVP to not attending. DM: Todd A. G. Campaign: Storm King’s Thunder Chapter: 3 - The Savage Frontier Session: 10 Character Level(s): 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th (recommended levels 3-6th) NOTE: Downtime Catching Up (SKT-Player Guide page 5): If you have a 4th level character AND 20 downtime days - You can spend 20 downtime days and advance your character from 4th level to the bottom of 5th level (6,500 XP Total). You must also spend 20X/your daily cost for lifestyle expenses (see PHB 157, page 157). Please do this BEFORE the game session, and it must be documented on your logsheet (including total cost spent on lifestyle expenses). You can bring a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th , or 6th level (AL Official) character. If you are familiar with making a 1st level Adventure League legal D&D 5e character, please ensure that: 1. The following numbers are used for your attributes: 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 OR you can use Variant: Customize Ability Scores using 27 points to spend on ability scores using the Ability Score Point Cost chart (see PHB page 13). Once you have assigned all of your attribute numbers; you will then modify the attributes based upon your race. 2. A 1st level character starts the game with their Maximum Hit Points allowed. 3. Do not roll for starting wealth. You pick your starting equipment based upon your class and background. Any gold received from your background can be spent on additional gear/supplies. 4. If you use Volo’s Guide to Monsters for your character’s race; he/she MUST belong to a faction. (as stated in the AL Official Ref. for Volo's Guide to Monsters link below.) If you prefer NOT to create a character or you don’t have the game books to do so; you can choose an already pregenerated (pregen) 1st level character at the table. He sells various non-alcoholic beverages in the STORE.** CURRENT EVENTS (from last game session) (PLEASE READ before game) The party has traveled to the walled city of Yartar (at the request of the Lords' Alliance). There has been 3 young male nobles that have recently disappeared and they have been requested to locate the nobles and put a stop to the disappearances. (So far there has been NO ransom notes received by anyone.) On the way to Yartar, the party discovered one of the young nobles (Lord Artan Rossolio) wrapped up in some kind of slimy cocoon by a river bank. They were able to free him after defeating the griffons that were about to have him as a meal. Lord Artan Rossolio's memories about his disappearance was very fragmented. He could only recall something about a woman in purple and a golden goose. While in Yartar; Derrek (the fighter) got in contact with the Hand of Yartar (an all female thieves' guild) and was informed by Scimitar Sally that they had nothing to do with the disappearance of Lord Rossolio or any of the other 2 nobles. Upon further questioning Derrek discovered: 1. The woman in purple is called Lady Atalia and that she sometimes can be found on the Grand Dame riverboat located just outside of town on the Dessarin River. She supposedly has some kind of mind powers and she refused to join the Hand of Yartar. 2. The Hand of Yartar isn't involved with the disappearances. They suspect that some sort of organization is involved, but can't be sure if its Zhentarim, Harpers, or some third faction. The party is trying to decide on the best way to gain access to the Grand Dame riverboat casino to see if they can find Lady Atalia and ask here a few questions about the noble's disappearances. (There are many ways to get on board such as ..... sneak on board? Ask for a job? Dress up as a rich noble or gambler? Bribe the guards?, etc.) Note1: Lady Dezhia (Lord Rossolio's mother) has offered the party 500 gp for discovering how, why, and who originally kidnapped her son AND another 500 gp to find her son's
