Welcome New WIC Nutrition Education Consultant
Please join us in welcoming our new staff member, Faith Njoroge, Nutrition Education Consultant, Nutrition Education/Clinic Services Unit. Ms. Njoroge, who joined the State Agency in November 2014, brings extensive knowledge and experience in nutrition education. She holds a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Public Health, and previously worked as a Public Health Nutritionist for the government of Kenya in a position that focused on infant and maternal health. Ms. Njoroge now works in the Nutrition Education Branch, primarily in breastfeeding, as the new Breast Pump Coordinator. Please direct WIC field staff to contact Ms. Njoroge with questions about the breast pump program, including breast pump issuance, inventory, policy, retrieval, troubleshooting, or anything else related to breast pumps. Ms. Njoroge also serves as a Nutrition Education Liaison. The Nutrition Education Liaison List is being revised currently and each liaison will directly contact their agencies to inform them of any changes. Please share this information with your staff.
