The Politics of Apocalypticism: Assigning Authorship and Jewish-Christian Relations
Dr. Kelley Coblentz Bautch Friday, November 6, 2015 12:00-1:15 p.m. Boston College School of Theology & Ministry 9 Lake Street, Simboli Hall, RM 130 Dr. Kelley Coblentz Bautch will be speaking in Prof. Angela Harkins’ “Apocalypses and Apocalyptic Literature” Class. Dr. Kelley Coblentz Bautch is Associate Professor of Religious Studies at St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas and an internationally recognized scholar of Enochic Pseudepigrapha. She is the author of “No One Has Seen What I Have Seen”: A Study of the Geography of 1 Enoch 17-19 (Brill, 2003), co-editor of three collections of scholarly essays, and the author of more than two dozen articles and essays on Apocalyptic writings, Enochic literature, and Apocryphal texts. She serves on the editorial board of several academic journals and publishing houses. She is the past president of the Southwest region of the Society of Biblical Literature. Dr. Coblentz Bautch is the 2011-2012 recipient of the Distinguished Teaching Award at St. Edward’s University. All are welcome but space is limited. Please email
