The College of Nursing and Health Sciences prepares diverse healthcare professionals who are collaborative providers and leaders in the delivery of high quality, accessible, culturally-competent and compassionate care.
Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing Considered one of the best in the state, the AUM Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) program is a traditional four-year baccalaureate program with two fulltime, two-year components: Lower Division (completed at AUM or elsewhere) and Upper Division. Following completion of the registered nursing program, graduates can apply to take the RN licensure exam.
RN to BSN (EARN) AUM allow you to take your education - and your career - to the next level with the EARN program. The Educational Advancement for Registered Nurses (EARN) curriculum is designed for RNs who have a diploma or associate degree and would like to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.). This program is offered totally online or in a hybrid format with partnership hospitals.

Medical and Clinical Laboratory Sciences A Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science prepares students to be integral members of patient diagnostic, forensic, and medical equipment development and sales teams. In addition to practical and theoretical knowledge and clinical experience in chemistry, hematology/hemostasis, immunohematology, immunology, and microbiology, students also learn the principles of quality assurance, laboratory management, educational methodologies, lab safety, research, and computer applications.

MLT to MLS
Communication Disorders
The MLT to MLS track allows students holding an associate degree to attain their Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science. These students with to elevate their associate degree to a bachelor's degree. This option is designed for certified medical laboratory technicians (MLT) who have prior clinal laboratory experience with modern laboratory instrumentation and for military laboratory personal who have completed military laboratory specialist school and have laboratory experience with modern clinical laboratory instrumentation. MLS program is offered online.
The Auburn Montgomery Communication Disorders Program is one of only a few in the country where undergraduate students receive direct clinical experience with patients. After graduation, students are quali ed to work in the public school systems of Alabama as an assistant to a licensed speech-language pathologist. Students may also opt to pursue a graduate degree to qualify as a licensed speech-language pathologist or audiologist. Jobs are available in school systems, private practice, early intervention programs, skilled nursing facilities, or hospital-medical settings.
