PABLO HERNANDEZ By Mark Nagel

Mark Nagel: Where did you grow up? Pablo Hernandez: Miami, Florida. M.N: I have to ask because you are someone who makes a living not wearing many clothes, were you a naked kid? P.H: I always loved being in my underwear, although I never thought I’d be making a living out of it someday. M.N: How did you first become an Andrew Christian model? P.H: The former brand manager found a photo of me wearing Andrew Christian underwear for a magazine shoot that I had in NYC on Tumblr. The photo didn’t have any information attached to it. They posted the photo on their Facebook fan page asking who I was and some of fans reached out to me and told me AC was interested in working with me. M.N: Do you get a monthly Andrew Christian care package? P.H: I get a monthly allowance at AC so I can be up to speed with their latest clothing. M.N: You are in great shape. What is your average workout week like?

P.H: I just do a couple push-ups here and there. Just kidding. I work out everyday. I focus on one major muscle group a day. My off day is all cardio. M.N: Are the photo shoots as fun as they look? P.H: I always have fun at a shoot. What you don’t see is the fact that my shoots are usually in the morning and I haven’t eaten or drank any water since the prior evening. M.N: Which of the models is the biggest bitch? P.H: I get along with all of them.  M.N: You are coming to Chicago to appear at Out In The Park. Is this your first time in Chicago? P.H: It’s not my first time in Chicago. I was there for IML weekend and for the Grabby Awards. M.N: You are going to be singing at Out In The Park. When did the singing start for you? P.H: The singing is very recent. I wrote a song as a joke and sang it to a music producer and he said that would be my first single. That song was “Bitch I’m A Bottom.” M.N: Whose music influences you? P.H: I just want to make music that will make people happy and want to dance. I’m loving Adam Lambert’s new album.

THEATRE

GRAB JOEL Director Joel Zwick By Mark Nagel

Joel Zwick directed My Big Fat Greek Wedding, the highestgrossing romantic comedy of all time. Recent films include Fat Albert and Elvis Has Left the Building. Zwick directed the Broadway production of Hershey Felder’s George Gershwin Alone at the Helen Hayes Theatre, as well as Felder’s Monsieur Chopin, Beethoven as I Knew Him, and Maestro Bernstein. He began his theatrical career at La Mama E.T.C. as director of the La Mama Plexus. He has directed on Broadway, Off-Broadway and for Broadway touring companies. Zwick is recognized as one of Hollywood’s most prolific directors of episodic television, having directed more than 550 TV episodes. He is currently directing Shake it Up for the Disney Channel. Zwick has taught drama at Yale University, Brooklyn College, Queens College, Wheaton College and USC, and has made his home in Hollywood for the past decade. GRAB Magazine recently had the chance to talk with this talented man about his new play “Jamaica, Farewell,” which opens September 8 at The Royal George. Mark Nagel: You are known for your directing. What was the first thing you ever directed? Joel Zwick: I was the artistic director at La Mama in New York for six years and the first show I directed at La Mama was called “Last Chance Saloon,” which was in 1968. M.N: What was the first TV show you ever directed? J.Z: It was in 1978, and it was a show called Busting Loose, starring Adam Arkin, and then two seasons of Laverne & Shirley, a season of Mork & Mindy. Whatever it was, 10

GRAB Magazine

either speed or just talent, I worked steady. M.N: Did you have some kind of contract with ABC because you seemed to work on all of their comedies in the ’80s? J.Z: Yes, I did. It was a certain income if I only worked on ABC shows. It lasted a year before they realized they didn’t have to do it anymore. I primary worked with Garry Marshall, Bob Boyett and Tom Miller, and they produced 17 seasons of work for me, Laverne & Shirley, Full House, Perfect Strangers, Step by Step that whole TGIF lineup. They seem to be bringing it all back now. M.N: Let’s talk about the Unauthorized Full House TV movie. J.Z: I actually watched 15 minutes of the movie and it was so bad that I just could not watch it. The audience that grew up on Full House is now owning Hollywood and it’s like comfort food for them and to some degree, revisiting their own pasts. I am directing Girl Meets World, which is based on Boy Meets World and is doing well for the Disney Channel. Fuller House is coming back and I will be directing a few episodes in September.

M.N: Isn’t it on Netflix? J.Z: Yes and they have a 13episode order. It will start streaming sometime in January. September 8, 2015

M.N: Is it me, or you direct comedy over drama, correct? Why? J.Z: I feel if it shows emotion, you are in my ballpark. Now the fact I have made a living off of comedy, I am just a fun, little man. Comedy is not a bad thing for me to be involved in. M.N: You also directed My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Was that movie hard to get made? J.Z: It wasn’t that hard. M.N: Is that because Tom [Hanks] and Rita [Wilson] produced it? J.Z: Tom and Rita, and Rita’s connection to the Greek world. The story that Tom and Rita told me was they went to see theatre because they never see any in Los Angeles and wanted to. The only day that Nia Vardalos placed an ad was the day that Rita was looking for a show to see. Well, it was a one-woman show and afterward, they went to congratulate her. Tom and Rita asked if anyone ever thought of doing a screenplay of the show, and they had. It had been optioned by a group called FTH Entertainment. They had been running with it for a while. People said they liked the script but asked, can you make it Hispanic? Nia kept holding out and eventually Tom and Rita bought the rights from FTH. It was like Tom’s valentine to Rita. He bought it for her because it meant that much to her. I had known Tom

back when he was on Bosom Buddies and we were the only people involved with the show who had children, and they played together. Well, later when I thought my TV directing career was winding down, I sent Tom this script and he liked it but he also said, if you want to direct independent films, I have this script for My Big Fat Greek Wedding and asked if I was interested in directing it. M.N: Do you have anything to do with the sequel? J.Z: I wouldn’t do a sequel because I have no idea what the sequel would be about. I have not heard many positive things about it and when the movie was finished, Nia and I were not getting along because she was what I would call a publicity whore, taking credit for everything, not crediting any of the other performers who were an amazing company of actors. I didn’t need her and I guess the people who do are still working with her. M.N: What can you tell us about

“Jamaica, Farewell,” which is at The Royal George? J.Z: I went and saw the show at The Santa Monica Playhouse and thought the show was wonderful. Actually, at the time, Rita Wilson was the producer of the show. I think Rita thought Greek Wedding started as a one-woman show, maybe she could strike gold twice with “Jamaica.” We produced it in Los Angels with Garry Marshall’s Falcon Theatre for a five-week run and it did well. Rita kind of lost

interest in the show, so Hershey Felder and I picked up the rights and put a show together for it. Plus Debra Ehrhardt is amazing in this show. Performances begin at Chicago’s Royal George Theatre, 1641 North Halsted, 60614, on Tuesday, September 8, and continue through Sunday, October 11. Tickets are now on sale at The Royal George Theatre or may be purchased by calling 312-988-9000.

GUEST COLUMN

GRAB MARK Op-ed: Both Stonewall and Stonewall Deserve Your Attention

Roland Emmerich's Stonewall film may or may not follow history to a T, but it's important to remember it's entertainment, says longtime activist and gay publisher Mark Segal. By Mark Segal

It’s been amusing and angering watching the debate and suggestion of a boycott over the forthcoming film Stonewall. The reality is that nearly all the people on both sides have one thing in common: They weren’t there. And they are speaking for those who were there, acting as if we are not alive and cannot speak for ourselves. This shows a lack of understanding of our own shared LGBT history. I was the founder of Gay Youth New York, and I was also a member of the Action Group started by Marty Robinson. We were the ones who wrote “Tomorrow Night Stonewall” in chalk on the walls and the street that infamous night. That, along with other factors in New York at the time, led to the formation of Gay Liberation Front, while Sylvia Rivera and Marsha P. Johnson formed Street Transvestite Action Revolutionaries, the first trans organization in America; Stonewall's perceived lack of acknowledgment of Rivera's and Johnson's contributions seems to be the central reasoning for a boycott of the film. Michael Lavery and I are the last two members of the Action Group. There are also six original members of Gay Youth New York. Then there are my brothers and sisters in Gay Liberation Front who participated in the riot or, as others in our group labeled it, rebellion. We are all able to speak to the truth or lack thereof of the 14

GRAB Magazine

actions and activism in the film, but as yet you have not heard our voices. Those of us involved at Stonewall, Gay Youth New York, or those first stormy three years of radical activism of Gay Liberation Front and then Gay Activists Alliance — which this film portrays — still debate what actually occurred. We all have our own perspectives. Until he died earlier this year, my close GLF friend Jerry Hoose and I debated it even as we cried on a Skype call moments after President Obama’s now- famous inauguration speech where he mentioned Selma, Seneca Falls, and Stonewall. Those of us in GLF continue to debate what exactly happened, and David Carter ,who wrote one of the most researched books on it, has had to debate his account. Here’s the simple fact, so simple that it amazes me it has not been made crystal clear and not a point of debate: Once Stonewall was raided and the crowd became angry and it looked as though something might happen, only drag queens, homeless kids, people like me who thought they had no future, and a few activists stuck around. At that time, if you were employed or privileged in any way, you were in the closet — and didn’t want any trouble. So you high-tailed it out of there back to the anonymity of your home.

September 8, 2015

Marty, of the Action Group, saw the rebellion as an opportunity to galvanize folks; the drag queens and street kids were fighting for their home, and, as for people like me, it made us realize the power of our community and provided a sense of pride that led me to GLF and to create Gay Youth NY. So that is our history, and it's better that you know it regardless of if you want to boycott the film or not. There was another fundamental at play here, and it was a social, economic, and political one. Gay Liberation Front was the first in-your-face LGBT organization, and in 1969 that meant that we were not conformist, and many people stood clear of us and wanted our history to die, especially that history of drag queens and street kids. We were not the image the conformist community wanted. It would take AIDS to get privileged gay white men into activism in large numbers. As for us in Gay Liberation Front, we created the first youth and trans organizations, the first health alerts, the first LGBT community center, and at the end of that first year, many of us worked with Craig Rodwell to create the first Gay Pride march,

then called the Christopher Street Liberation Day March. How radical were we? Harvey Milk was living in New York City at the time and he stayed clear of us. So we in GLF — youth, trans, people of all political spectrums — had a bond. We debated everything, including our identity, which meant a clear discussion of racism and sexism. The only exception was our mutual goal of creating a community. Which means that, even though at times our debate resulted in shouting matches, we still had a special bond. I understand the people calling for a boycott. They understand that after the demise of GLF and later GAA, trans people were minimized in our community, and they are concerned the film will repeat that. It is possible, but I don’t believe that anyone who does the simplest amount of research would change that part of our history. I’ve been a publisher chronicling our community for 40 years now and am wondering how you can boycott something you haven’t seen and that is a fictional movie based on a true story. If you want to know the facts rather than fiction, read David Carter's book Stonewall or any number of LGBT history books. That's where the truth is, not in your local multiplex. GRAB CHERIE Cherie Pops! By Mark Dawson

Born and raised outside of Chicago, Cherie Lily launched her music career at 17, playing guitar in hardcore punk bands.  At about the same time, she signed up for her first aerobics class, sparking what would become a second love for her.  “I am obsessed with fitness,” she says.   “When I work my body, I feel strong, confident, sexy and alive.  I’m a true fitness enthusiast.” Pumped-up, frantic beats have become a staple of Lily’s music. Her previous hits, “Body” and “Kiss My Lips”, were both high-energy club tracks. Her latest, “I Like It” turns up the frenzy even higher. She performs it live at Club Seven on Saturday, September 12. Mark Dawson: What’s going on with all the ladies of dance? Nicki is feuding with Miley, Taylor is feuding with Katy…  Cherie: Enough talk already. (Laughing) I want to see them all get in the ring! M.D: You’re fit for a brawl! Who are you feuding with, Cherie? C: No, I don’t like feuding! If I get myself in trouble, I’m quick to say I’m sorry and move on.  I don’t like drama!   M.D: But it makes for some good pr! C: That’s true. Who should I fight with?

M.D: What was it like working with him on “Dance Like You Got Good Credit”?  C: (Laughing) Cazwell wanted me to do some things in the stripper scene that I could’ve smacked him for. We have lots of fun working together.    M.D: It comes through on the track. How did it come together? C: It came together very organically.  Cazwell first came up with the idea from a line he heard Bianca Del Rio say at a club.  (Bianca is featured in the song’s music video.)  Then he called me in to lay down vocals.  I submitted extra material for the track that made it on some of the song’s remixes, so be sure to check those out as well.  They’re hot.

M.D: Do you think Cazwell gets the credit he deserves as an artist?  I mean, he’s done pretty well for himself but he hasn’t reached the mainstream success of say, a Macklemore.  M.D: Mya performed at Seven last C: I think most artists want to be month.  How about you start a successful, but the definition of battle with her?  success is always changing and it’s subjective.  I’m not sure why some C: I met Mya years ago and she was one of the nicest people ever.  artists cross over to mainstream I’d rather get my nails done with and some don’t.  It’s like winning her.    the lottery.  There are so many artists that are talented, determined, and primed for the M.D: Cazwell? M.D: What do you want your fans to know about your music? C: I make music that excites and motivates me to move. I hope that my music inspires others to do the same.    M.D: You teamed up with DJ Vjuan Allure again on “I Like It”.  C: I love working with Vjuan.  He’s one of the best producers and DJs.  He can get a room moving like no one else.  After our success with “Body”, I was determined to reunite with him.  He’s the best.

GRAB A CREEP

Creep of the Week: Campaign for Houston By D’Anne Witkowski

While marriage equality is now the law of the land in the U.S., there are still plenty of places where it is still perfectly legal to discriminate against LGBT people in all kinds of fun ways. Many forward-thinking cities across the country have gone ahead and enacted anti-discrimination ordinances of their own rather than wait around for their nearly immobile state governments to get off their asses and do something. This is why Houston, Texas, for example has the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance (HERO) which "prohibits discrimination on the basis of characteristics in City employment, City services, City contracting practices, housing, public accommodations and private employment." There's over a dozen characteristics the ordinance protects; gender identity and sexual orientation are the ones that have

the haters, well, hating. And alas, in November there will be a measure to repeal the ordinance on the ballot. Behind the push for repeal is the Campaign for Houston. But don't be fooled by their seemingly innocuous name. They are pulling out all the transphobic stops in their campaign against the ordinance, trying to scare people with images of men lurking in women's restrooms. They've released a radio ad with a woman's voice that claims "this ordinance will allow men to freely go into women's bathrooms, locker rooms and showers. That is filthy, that is disgusting and that is unsafe." The ad continues, "Join me and other women in Houston as we vote 'no' on Mayor Parker's bathroom ordnance. And again, let me make this very clear, on behalf of all moms, sisters and daughters: no men in women's bathrooms." Mm'kay. Let's break this down. What do the women of Houston have against men? I'm presuming there are plenty of women there who are married to men and/ or do sex with them and even share bathrooms with them every day at home. What's up with all the men-hating women in Houston? It just doesn't make any sense. Unless, of course, the Campaign for Houston doesn't mean "men men," they mean trans men. Oooh, that must be it. That's who is really being called "filthy" and "disgusting" here. What's really disgusting here is the Campaign using an already marginalized group of people who face layer upon layer of discrimination — in other words, the very

people who need the protections this ordinance provides most — as a scare tactic to "moms, sisters and daughters." Oh, and by the way, some of those moms, sisters and daughters are trans. The Campaign's website reads, "Campaign for Houston is made up of parents and family members who do not want their daughters, sisters or mothers forced to share restrooms in public facilities with gender-confused men, who – under this ordinance – can all themselves 'women' on a whim and use women's restrooms whenever they wish." Yeah, the only people confused here are the ones who think that there are men who, on a whim, say, "I'm a lady!" just to have the privilege to use women's restrooms. Have they never seen the long lines for the women's rooms at sporting events or concerts? Not to mention the fact that that's just not how trans identity works. Their website also claims, "The ordinance also limits free speech and religious expression in unprecedented ways so as to not 'offend' these two new 'protected' groups, both of which are defined by their behaviors – not by characteristics given to them at birth." If your idea of free speech and religious expression is the right to openly and hostilely discriminate against LGBT people then, yes, I guess this ordinance does suck for you. Then again, being a douche bag is not a characteristic given to you at birth. Unlike being gay or trans, it's a behavior that is actually harmful to everyone around you. Here's hoping you can find it in your heart to pray the anti-gay away.

D'Anne Witkowski has been gay for pay since 2003. She's a freelance writer and poet (believe it!). When she's not taking on the creeps of the world she reviews rock and roll shows in Detroit with her twin sister and teaches writing at the University of Michigan.

DURAN DURAN TO RELEASE NEW ALBUM “PAPER GODS” ON SEPTEMBER 11TH

Multi-platinum superstars Duran Duran  will release their 14th studio album, Paper Gods, on   September 11th via Warner Bros. Records. Singer Simon Le Bon, keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor, and drummer Roger Taylor recorded Paper Gods in London with producers Nile Rodgers, Mark Ronson, Josh Blair, and Mr Hudson. The record features special guests Janelle Monáe (on the first single "Pressure Off"), former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante, Canadian JunoAward winning singer Kiesza, British singer/songwriter Mr Hudson, violinist Davidé Rossi and actress Lindsay Lohan. The songs — already being heralded as the band’s best work since Rio — capture the true essence of Duran Duran, with the duality and sense of conflict that has always been at the heart of their music. Visceral and daring, the album mixes hard-edged, contemporary pop with the band's darker more experimental side to create a body of work that is epic in its scope. Duran Duran have also announced that they will perform a series of summer festivals, as well as a run of shows in the U.S. in September and October, followed by a UK arena tour that kicks off in late November. Transgender Law Center condemns Rentboy.com raid

August 26, 2015 – Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security suddenly raided the offices of Rentboy.com, which has been operating in public view for 18 years, and arrested several staff on charges of racketeering and promoting prostitution. This bust comes at a time when human rights advocates globally are uniting around a call to decriminalize sex work and at a time when the United States has the largest prison population in the world, with people of color, particularly Black people, representing a vastly disproportionate percentage of the incarcerated. With this raid, the U.S. federal government is not only jeopardizing countless people’s lives and only source of livelihood, but sending a clear and troubling message that the country is less invested in addressing systemic issues of racial, economic, and anti-LGBT injustice than in further criminalizing the individuals most marginalized by those systems. Last week, Transgender Law Center and four other U.S.-based LGBT advocacy organizations issued a statement in support of Amnesty International’s call to decriminalize sex work. Yesterday’s action by the federal government is a clear demonstration of why LGBT organizations and people must be invested in this work to protect the human rights of sex workers. Laws criminalizing sexual exchange impede sex workers’ ability to negotiate condom use and other boundaries, and force many to work in hidden or remote places where they are more vulnerable to violence. Actions like the government’s raid contribute to the unjust and unacceptable systems and society we have today, from the disproportionate incarceration of Black transgender and gender non-conforming people to the epidemic of violence against transgender women of color. Transgender Law Center is reaching out to global advocates to see how we can best be helpful in this situation. http://transgenderlawcenter.org

Caitlyn Jenner to Headline Chicago House 7th Anniversary Speaker Series Thursday, November 12, 2015

expects more than 1,000 attendees, and will kick off with a VIP reception, followed by a lunch presentation with Ms. Jenner. Individual tickets start at $200.00, with Premier Seating and VIP packages available at an additional charge.  For more information on tickets, to become a sponsor, or to host an individual or corporate table, contact Tyler Lewis at 773-248-5200 (ext. 304) or visit www.chicagohouse.org.

HBHC Awarded $300,000  for its HEALE Program    Caitlyn Jenner, Olympian and recent winner of the 2015 Arthur Ashe Courage Award, will serve as the keynote speaker for the 7th annual Chicago House Speaker Series luncheon, being held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Avenue, Thursday, November 12th, from 11:30 am – 2 pm.    Now in its 30th year, Chicago House is the Midwest’s oldest provider of housing for those impacted by HIV/AIDS and/or LGBTQ marginalization, and is now home to the nation’s most comprehensive social service and support programs for transgender individuals, the TransLife Center.   The Chicago House Speaker Series luncheon brings awareness to the agency’s founding mission, domestic and global HIV and AIDS activism, as well as its new strategic focus, combating LGBTQ poverty and marginalization, while celebrating the accomplishments Chicago House has achieved locally and raising funds to support the more than 1,800  men, women and children they serve.   This year’s Speaker Series will be especially effective at highlighting the marginalization and suffering disproportionately experienced by transgender individuals. Offending the values of fairness and equity, transgender men and women face enormous intertwining barriers to stability due to discrimination, societal and family rejection, and pervasive hostility. More than a quarter of transgender persons reports having lost a job due to their gender identity and more than half reports having difficulty finding a job because of their identity. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recently awarded Howard Brown Health Center (HBHC) a Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program three-year grant for $300,000 to continue our Health Education About LGBT Elders (HEALE) curriculum from 2015 through 2018. The HEALE program focuses on improving cultural competence for nurses who care for the aging LGBTQ population. The program consists of a sixhour curriculum that focuses on appropriate terminologies around sexual orientation and gender identity, health disparities elders experience, and best practices and strategies for nurses to become allies and advocates for their older LGBTQ patients. Over the last four years, HEALE has trained more than 1,100 nurses and 900 adjunct staff at more than 60 US sites, including 18 Veteran's Administration hospitals. "Nurses have a unique role in health care. They are the direct link among health care teams that include providers, nurses, patients and their families. By providing comprehensive trainings to nurses we are giving them the skills and tools to better provide culturally competent care that will strengthen the health and wellness of LGBTQ elders," says Cec Hardacker, RN, HEALE's Program Director. HBHC was first awarded this same grant in 2009 and again in 2012 with this current grant effort being collaboration with Rush University Department of Aging, Rush College of Nursing and 34 Midwest partners. http://www.nursesheale.org/

EVENTS

Eleven individuals and one organization will be inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame, the country’s only known government-sponsored hall of fame that honors members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) communities, on Tuesday, November 10.   The Hall of Fame’s annual induction ceremony will take place from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, at the Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St. The reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., and the program is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The event will be free and open to the public.    The inductees were selected by a committee composed of former inductees, which reviewed nominations submitted by members of the public. The names were released by Friends of the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame, a section 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.   “This year’s inductees, like our rosters since 1991, represent LGBT achievements in a variety of fields,” said Gary G. Chichester, co-chairperson (with Mary F.  Lincoln Park Zoo Hosts First-Ever Fall Fest

Lincoln Park Zoo is bringing harvest season to Chicago with the first-ever Fall Fest, a family celebration complete with rides, activities and entertainment the first three weekends of October.   The autumnal festival will feature an a-maize-ing corn maze, hay mountain, a giant 60 ft. burlap sack slide on the zoo’s Main Mall and hay wagon rides throughout Farm-in-the-Zoo. Additionally the festival will include a pumpkin carver, Ferris wheel, inflatable courses and rides, educational activities and live entertainment. “Fall Fest is a great opportunity for families to experience the beauty of a rural autumn right here in the heart of the city,” said Senior Director of Operations Kurt Zitzner. “At the zoo, Chicagoans can participate in the celebration of harvest season without leaving the city.”   In full fall spirit, pumpkins will be available for sale at the Pritzker Family Children’s Zoo pumpkin patch daily throughout October. Pumpkins vary in price depending on size. Fall Fest is free and open to the public Oct. 2-4, 9-12 and 16-18 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information on Lincoln Park Zoo and events visit www.lpzoo.org/events/calendar.

GRAB STEVE PORN

Porn Director Steve Cruz By Tom Olah

Tom Olah: Steve you had a long career in front of the camera so how did the directing and writing come about? Steve Cruz:  I was always interested in what went on behind the scenes. Hard to believe now, but I was uneasy about doing porn in the beginning so Chris Ward invited me to set to watch him direct a Dean Monroe scene. I learned how to bottom on film by watching Dean, and I learned how to direct by watching Chris. I guess it was really a matter of time. Two years into my career I wrote 'Hotter Than Hell' for Raging Stallion. That film got Falcon's attention, they were looking for a new director for the Mustang line. At the time the studios were separate companies. I was fortunate enough to remain a Raging Stallion exclusive but take on the new job as a Falcon director.  T.O: What was the first movie you directed and what was that first day on the set like? S.C: I conceived three movies for Falcon in the initial pitch. 'Blue

Movie,' a movie about making a porn movie, 'Red Light' focused on sex for hire and 'Green Door' which was something completely different. The first days of directing was full of excitement. I had a knack with models but I still had to find my voice on set. Our first shoot got raided by the cops. It was rumored that the director I replaced was sitting outside the location in his car when the cops rolled up. Despite the drama we completed a tight little movie and the extra publicity didn't hurt.

T.O: In Total Exposure you co-direct with Nick Foxx, was this your first time working together as directors? S.C: Yes! We met back in 2009 at Cybersocket Awards or the Eagle. We had a great connection. When he was looking to make a change, I brought him into Falcon Studios Group, I knew he'd be a perfect fit! He ran camera with me a few times so I knew we'd match styles. I live for blowjobs, he lives for rimming so we operated as a tag team. We also split up the direction of the sex positions. You're watching true codirection but a singular voice is in September 8, 2015

charge at all times. That takes trust but also shared ideals, we are fortunate to be wired that way.  T.O: As someone who spent a few days on the Total Exposure set I have to say you two are an amazing team to watch work together so will you be working together again? S.C: He's a blast to work with! I hope so! It's the nature of Falcon Studios Group to collaborate from time to time. I can see it happening again. T.O: Total Exposure 1 &2 has the entire A-Team in the cast, is this the first time you worked with the entire A-Team on one movie? S.C: Yes, it’s never been done before at Falcon Studios Group. I'm not sure there are that many all exclusive movies made. Certainly not with a cast of 14. We have become this wonderful family, we wanted that to come across to the fans. T.O: This is a different kind of porn movie can you describe it for our readers? S.C: It's both a reality project and a

S.C: It's both a reality project and a fantasy. It's an invitation for the fans to step into our world. Essentially, we went away to porn summer camp hours from civilization, cell service and the Internet. We brought a full crew and all our gorgeous men and we filmed it all. In addition to 11 beautiful sex scenes in the great outdoors, we also get to know the guys one on one. We see their playful sides, their sexual sides and even some vulnerable truths. They open up like never before. They get real. I learned amazing things about each one of them which made them that much more attractive to me.  T.O: I watched you work on this movie from 7am to after 10pm was this a normal movie shoot? S.C: She was a beast! Seriously! As a director, I never worked so hard in my life. You are literally ALWAYS working. Because it's a reality project cameras never stop. We needed to guide everything in a direction and make sure it's covered completely, but also needed to let things happen and get out of the way of reality. Generally a full day's work would be just that day's sex scene. But we had a lot of fun too. My job is fun! We wanted the fans to share in the fun as well. Another beautiful thing to come from this project were the 30 minute in depth interviews that release on totalexposurexxx.com T.O: What other movies have you directed that we can we look forward to see from you this year? S.C: I've been busy! Hard Friction releases a new title every 2-3 months and original scenes on the site each month. The latest is called 'Temptation.' The other films are for Raging Stallion: 'Foreskin Mafia' kind of says it all, not to be missed. I'm also very happy with 'Sidewinder,' set in the desert with a mess of cowpokes. A nod to the classic western, but not literal. September 8, 2015

GRAB A PORN PORN

On the set of “Total Exposure” By Tom Olah

So, readers, last May, Chris Ward, the big guy at Raging Stallion/Falcon/Hot House asked me if I wanted to come and join them on the set for their new Raging Stallion movie which will star most of The A Team (Boomer Banks, Ryan Rose, Brian Bonds, Austin Wolf, Sean Zevran, Jimmy Durano, and the list goes on). So what do you think my response was? Hell, yes! I have been on porn sets before but a couple of days never. Well, I was excited because some of my favorite actors were going to be performing and I get to watch! I was told that they are going to be filming north of Phoenix on this ranch in late- June. Vice Nick Sterling

president at Falcon, Adam Robinson, would be picking me up at the airport and a couple of the models would be flying in at the same time. All of a sudden, I am at baggage and I see Sean Zevran and Jimmy Durano, so I guess I found them. When we get in the car, Adam says, we have more than a twohour drive (nobody told me it was that far) and who is hungry? I have to tell you readers, Zevran and Durano eat fast food and when they fall asleep, they don’t even snore! On Brian Bonds this journey north, we give new meaning of over the river and through the amazing because there is the box woods. We even went through Rim of Fleet enemas for the bottoms, County (can’t make this shit up). bug spray, sunscreen and snacks Three hours later when we get to to keep the boys’ energy up, and the ranch, the good news is that cocktails. it’s cocktail time and a margarita is Day two, and let’s just say, waiting for me. Then Robinson don’t make the mistake and use the asks if I would mind sharing a room bottoms’ bathroom by mistake the with a porn star? All I can say is morning of filming. At breakfast, I okay. (If you are reading this, I can find out that Austin Wolf and Jacob assume you all would have said Peterson were cool with me yes as well). Now I know most of watching their day in the life of a the actors and crew, so I get to porn star. First thing they need to meet new A Team member Jacob have are glamour photos taken Peterson (who is very hot) and he which was more than an hour for is not eating the fabulous food and the two of them and now it was is drinking water by the gallon. I time for the action photos that you am, like, are you going to join us see on box covers and websites. It and he is, like, sorry but I am was amazing watching these two bottoming tonight and can’t. So performers because you have them after dinner, they are going to be in all kinds of positions to make filming down in the barn with Nick sure you get the good shot and you Sterling, Brian Bonds (my dream have crew members running porn boyfriend) and Jacob around moving reflectors so that all Peterson. Because they are filming the lighting is perfect, plus it’s hot in the middle of the country, they and sunny in the middle of a field have to turn the house generators and another guy is making sure the off so the lights can be used for actors have enough sunscreen on filming. When they are filming, I and enough water; all this and the start to explore and this set is boys are hard as a rock. We are

two hours into the day and we haven’t even started filming the movie yet. Now it’s time to start and this movie is co-directed by Steve Cruz and Nick Fox. These guys also do all their own camera work. It was amazing to watch these two talented men work because they were filming what they needed and, on breaks, would find out what the other filmed, all while the crew was moving the reflectors to make sure we, the viewers, could see the action. Readers, I have new respect for the performers because they were having sex for close to three hours and didn’t complain (I think my back hurt). This movie is called Total Exposure and you

will get your normal hot sex but they are also taking you behind the scenes to show you what your favorite performers are really like, plus what fun can actually go on during the filming of a movie. One of my highlights of this experience was during a break. I had to go to my room and was lucky enough to run into Sean Zevran, naked and moisturizing (it was an amazing work of art). I have new respect because the performers are up early and work way into the night and there was five days of this. The next morning, they are up and moving early because it’s time to start over again and it’s time for Sean Zevran and Jimmy Durano to film their action scenes. I will be watching movies differently now because with the actors it will be, is that really ecstasy or does their back hurt from fucking in three different positions for almost two hours? A lot of hard work goes into the making of a good porn movie and I am impressed what you can pull off in a week. I recommend you watch Raging Stallion’s Total Exposer 1 & 2.

PORN

GRAB AUSTIN Porn Star Austin Wolfe By Tom Olah

Tom Olah: You left Randy Blue last May to be a member of the Falcon Studios Group ATeam, I have to ask why? Austin W: The studio decided to move in the direction of bareback. While I hold no bad opinions of this kind of porn, it's just not what I want to advocate.

T.O: What part of making porn do you like the best? A.W: The family I create with all my coworkers at the studio. They are what makes it great!!   T.O: Best place you have been sent to film at? A.W: Arizona so far. Was amazing. T.O: Total Exposure was in the country way past Phoenix, is this normal so no one bothers the filming? A.W: I'm new to on-location filming. So I'm not completely sure T.O: Are you

and your boyfriend still together? A.W: We are. We just hit a year this month :).   T.O: Have you slept with all the ATeam that you want..... is someone still on the  list? A.W: No, not yet. I want them all!!!    T.O: What is next for Austin Wolf? A.W: Tons of travel. New Orleans. Scene in Vegas. Appearance in Orlando then another scene in Vegas then Montreal. Always on the go, and several new scenes and movies coming out from Falcon Studios Group. New scenes have gone live and DVDs will be available soon for ‘The Urge: Huntin’ for Ass’ and ‘The URGE: Pound that Butt’ from Hot House, Falcon’s ‘Sex Pad’ is available, and I’m in both ‘Total Exposure 1 & 2,’ the Raging Stallion Fall Blockbuster.  T.O: Where can your fans keep all things Austin Wolf?
