From page 6 4. What are the benefits of the rights guide for publishers? § The rights guide will allow publishers/literary agents to have a consolidated list of books from Asia, which is currently unavailable. § The rights guide will simultaneously promote the titles from each country, as well as the AFCC 2017. Publishers/literary agents will be able to find more information about trade aspects at the Festival in the guide, such as the Rights Exchange and Speed Pitching (Writing) sessions. 5. How will the rights guide be distributed? The rights guide will be emailed to publishers/literary agents around the world. We also seek the help of the AFCC Board of Advisors to help distribute the guide to publishers and literary associations in their countries. 6. Who will receive the rights guide? Publishers and literary agents from around the world. 7. Who will compile the rights guide? The titles will be provided by the Board of Advisors in a document, and saved in a PDF file by the AFCC team. 8. Why are there only 10 books from each country? As this is the first year that the rights guide is being created, AFCC will begin with 10 books from each country. If the guide is successful in raising greater awareness of the Festival and the titles in the guide, more books will be considered in future years. 9. How are the countries chosen? For a start, the rights guide will begin with the countries that the Board of Advisors are based in, as the BOA members will be more familiar with the books and publishers in each country. III.
