Well this episode there was clearly somebody who was leaking classified information to Abe Leonard about Hookstratten, Wells and MacLeish but overall yeah I don't get the speculation about the mole. Didn't Langdon get manipulated by that sicko women who killed Atwood's son and accidentally handed over the capitol blueprint? permalink

Yes I totally missed the Abe Leonard leak! He was onto so many things I kinda forgot where he got the information from. Lots of it was investigative but some of it must have been leaked. Yeah the Langdon part wasn't the Kirkman mole. In that case Langdon was the mole for whoever that President was and that's all been resolved. Aaron was absolved of all guilt there even though he could have still been guilty- they just didn't have proof that he did that specific thing. permalink

IIRC, the deal with Aaron was that since they found out he had pulled the file from General Trigger Happy, he could also have leaked the file to the terrorists. Langdon confessed to giving the file to his girlfriend and apparently said he'd told Aaron to pull it because he was abroad at the time, and he'd done it electronically without even seeing it. embed

To be honest, I can't really recall either. I think we've all just been assuming there's a mole because this seems like the kind of show to do that (and a lot of us are familiar with Kiefer's prior work), and once we started talking about a mole it just rolled into a bigger snowball. permalink

There have been for sure some things, even like the other guy in this thread said- there was something in this past episode that got to the reporter dude. But the mole character isn't a massive issue and I could easily see this mole being like Aaron early in the season where he leaked shit but it was good intentioned or otherwise not malicious. permalink
