There’s a lot going on at Staples, and your career can grow and develop in many ways. Building on the career and development plan you create with your manager via the PP&R process, you are empowered to make suggestions, take ownership of your role, and shape your own development. We have a range of options available for your development, including in-house programs, recommended external training programs, as well as opportunities to learn from others. Our programs are available to all associates based on core competencies, job requirements and individual development plans. Depending on what you are looking for, our learning and development offerings have been designed to meet your individual needs – whether that be to help you get ahead and grow in your current position, or further your career within Staples.

Staples offers generous reimbursement of tuition costs upon satisfactory completion of a course relating to your role with the company. To support your success, we also offer paid study leave for the duration of your course. Mobility Opportunities As a global organisation, we believe that cross-fertilisation of ideas and cultural understanding can only enhance the success of our business. We support associates to live an active and healthy lifestyle by making available discounts on gym membership at Anytime Fitness, or special rates at Specsavers. Death & Disability Insurance

Staples’ International Employee Share Purchase Plan (iESPP) gives you the unique opportunity to build wealth and share in the company’s success. You can purchase company stock at a discount, via payroll deduction over a six-month period.

Australian associates who join the Corporate Superannuation Plan have the option to flexibly purchase competitively priced Death, Total & Permanent Disability, and Salary Continuance (income protection) insurance to give you and your family peace of mind and financial security. Premiums are deducted from your super account, and are pre-tax. Medical and Dental Insurance Through our healthcare partners, Bupa in Australia and Southern Cross in New Zealand, you’ll have access to competitive, corporate premiums on health insurance. As a further benefit for Bupa members, Staples will help subsidise any hospital excess if payable, meaning associates can enjoy a lower premium by taking cover with a hospital excess. Base salaries are extensively benchmarked and positioned competitive to market. We also review salaries annually, to ensure that you’re paid fairly for the job you do. We provide flexibility to help associates manage income effectively when we can, for example, providing tax-deferred allowances in lieu of vehicles where this is applicable and tax-efficient.
