Homework Homework Homework will be updated on the website as much as possible but the children need to ensure they have correctly written the homework and date it is due in before leaving school. If there are any questions, please ask Mr Lamming or the teaching assistants in Year 5. Half term homework 1. Finish and write up the museum brochure in neat 2. Do the corrections on the Maths test 3. Percy Jackson reading journal task four. Enjoy the half term! Reading journals The children’s Reading Journals have now been given out. These are an integral part of their English curriculum, designed to develop comprehension skills, and encourage children to read, interpret, analyse and evaluate a range of fiction and non-fiction genres. They will be given questions to answer, linked to our class reader, but children will also be expected to ‘respond’ to books and texts they read independently at home and at school. A review of a book they have finished, whether fiction or non-fiction, is also expected. Please see the document below for our previous 'Questions for Thinking' in Maths. Our class book this term is 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief' Please purchase this book as soon as possible in order for the children to use in lessons and for homework.
Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God. I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. Now I spend my time battling monsters and generally trying to stay alive. This is the one where Zeus, God of the Sky, thinks I've stolen his lightning bolt - and making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.
