The closest you'll get to being 007.

There comes a time in every man's life when he has to accept that he will never be James Bond. But, as with most dreams, a bucket full of cash can certainly take you a small step closer. Next month, French auction house Artcurial will be selling a Rolex once worn by 007 (we're talking about George Lazenby here, but still) in 1969 outing On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

The timepiece is apparently in great shape despite its 50 years, and is also notable for having a unique red second hand rather than the standard stainless steel. How much will it cost you to have something on your wrist that will impress every 10-year-old–and let's face it, most men any older than that–for the rest of time? Hard to say exactly, but as a rough guide the last of Bond's watches to go on sale–a Submariner worn in Live and Let Die – went for a cool £277,974 ($373,319). Best get saving.
